Make sure that you're paying her enough. By default her starting pay is so low that her happiness starts off in the red, and underpaid/unhappy staff quit on you - even special NPCs like Lena.

Yeah that does seem odd, but it can still be rationalized. A camgirl who pretends to be shy will probably get more views than anyone else, and as far as misanthrope and social butterfly goes...

Where, exactly, are you going to be able to write contract that legally includes prostitution? (A: Las Vegas). Now the idea of prostitution in the game is viable, after all there's already back alley whores aplenty. Becoming a pimp yourself might be an interesting way to make extra scratch, but that would probably fall under larger gameplay changes slated for farther down the road.
What would make more sense would be to expand on the already existing random tasks list over in the Empire page where people make all their special requests for specific models and scene types for their own use. This could be expanded to include "escort services" as well; although this should probably cause a massive happiness drop on any girl assigned to it, unless she has the nympho trait or something.

i've made lists of mutually exclusive traits so you can't get clever and dumb, but there are still some left, as you can see.
also you could get athletic girl with 1 point in fitness and stuff like that.

Exactly. I really didnt get the point of intelect around 70 and the girl still "dumb", or good traits that throw stats above 100 at some point. I didnt figure out (yet) how to englobe all traits in this, for now i can only think a mix of both systems, some traits that define stats, and some stats that define traits.
As i've said, dumb (Intellect <30) / nothing (30~70) / clever (Intellect >70), if dumb, -scene chm and/or happiness of the partner, if clever, +scene/happiness.
Cute and attractive are almost the same, maybe change one of them to a "worst version" of the other, with bases on the beauty stats, like unattractive (beauty <30) / nothing (30~70) / Attractive (or cute) (beauty >70), the first get few fans, the second get more... like everything else, it's just an example, it's up to you decide what which one will do, but on this way of "stats defining traits", the traits can only change thing on the scenes, like chemistry, profits, +/- happiness to the partner and etc. It's the only way it can work as i can see by now, at least.
The same can go with shy to sexual, depressed to happy, lazy to athletic and etc, and at the end, we get more to do in the game: train an actress to perfection, reaching all the good traits.
Some of them (most of the rare ones, like nympho) can stay out of this, showing up by luck at the recruiting.
If you want to consider another ideas inside this topic of traits and stats... Think about some traits that just "lock" the stats, example: athletic, if the girl has it, her fitness lock to not go under 50, or another "floor limit" that you want. Become "camgirl" after shot x solo scenes and then her solo scenes starts to make more money with the new trait. Become a nympho after x gangbangs, i dont know. I'm going too far, right? Haha, sorry.

I've noticed the leaf, i was talking about the options inside the cheat menu of the female/male actors, a "max" option to avoid something around 10 clicks in every stats. And option to edit the traits. Create a happy nympho at the start would be fun.

This is the best alternative for the idea, for sure. Like a special request that doesnt envolves photos or movies, just some guy asking for one (or more) of your girls in special, maybe the most famous, i dont know how far this can go, but yeah, something in this way.
traits are randomly distributed and they mainly serve as a bonus to the basic attributes.
theres a good chance of getting 1 good, 1 bad or both. many of them have other effects, which you can see by hovering over them.
then there's small chance of getting a more special one like nympho.
i've been thinking for quite some time of making something similar to what you described at the end.
you could train(or whatever) a girl and in the end she would be rewarded with a special trait.
especially the those girls you invested time and money for training. feel like there should be a significant reward if you choose this route.
snatching a good one from agency or rerolling the bar chicks is easy. training one from lvl 2 to 10 is long, expensive and not really worth it.
would be great that when she reaches a milestone (maybe the first attribute to reach potential and certain level) she would get an overpowered trait somehow related to that attribute. you could then congratulate yourself for creating a legendary pornstar and use her for 4 days until she retires lmao.
problem is my intellect(or creativity) is also hardcapped and i cant come up with some nasty traits. working as a code monkey for last few months left its toll hah.
if any of you can come up with some gamebreaking and overpowered traits i will most definitely gonna include them as a reward for keeping up with a low lvl girl for few months and training her to perfection.
click on the button and they'll trigger. they're are on different timers so some could take few days.
some just don't work or arent even in the game.

I can't figure out how to shoot a scene. I searched and found that it apparently has to be between 8am and 10pm, and only hookers will do porn straight away.
So far I've had a couple non-hookers do the casting interview and be happy with it, but the quick shoot option in the sidebar is always greyed out anyway.
I've also hired a few hookers, and I can't figure out how to do literally anything with them, the quick shoot option is again always greyed out.
Even on my own female character with full energy, the option is greyed out.
I slept until 8am and managed to get a solo scene with my character and a g/g scene with a hooker, but now a day or two later, the shoot scene button is greyed out for everyone again.
Can someone explain to me exactly what the requirements are for being able to shoot a scene? The tutorial didn't say anything about when you can or can't

I wish you could get male NPCs to spawn while playing as a male, my MC's dick is feeling a little under the weather and having them pick up the slack would help out.

And once again we explain how all you have to do is assign any PA to "talent search" and have them look for male models...
Have traits be like talent picks in RPGs. When a certain level is reached, a new talent can be unlocked. For girls who's levels are already at certain points, talents will be preassigned. For those who level-up while working with the player/company, the player can pick their talents.
Examples:
Fitness
0-30: No bonus
31-60: 1 perk
61-90: 2 perks
91-100: 3 perks
Fitness perks can be things like "Firm Breasts" or "Tight Ass" that carry over 10% of their Fitness stat as a bonus to their Beauty stat (insofar as how it affects video quality). "Healthy Living" has zero chances of doing drugs. "Fast Recovery" brings a model out of rehab twice as fast and for half the cost. "Youthful Appearance" lets models pass as one age level lower than they really are (MILF becomes normal, normal becomes teen).
Beauty perks can be things like "Exotic Looks" (lets model pass as two different ethnicities for fan/subscriber/website uses), "Heroin Chic" doubles positive effects of drug use, "Flawless Skin" gives a huge bonus to photoshoots only, etc. "Super Cute" or "Fierce Cougar" can give bonuses to models in the teen and MILF categories, respectively.
Charisma perks can be things like "Engaging Personality" which boosts their cam-show payouts, "Company Clown" boosts the happiness of other models that they works with (including the MC), etc. "Pan-Seductive" raises the scene-type-tolerance of comodels by 20% (so a girl who only had a lesbian like of 15% would be treated as 35% and actually be willing to do lesbian scenes, but only with her).
Intelligence perks can be things like "Sexually Creative" which boosts the effective skill of their Director by 1 level, "Fast Learner" which boosts other skill gains faster, "First Try" lowers the equipment decay rate of equipment when they're in a scene (as they don't need any retakes), "Educator" boosts the skill learning rate of other models that they work with.
Sex Skill perks (oh boy) can be damn near infinite, but right off the bat let try "Specialist" that gives them +25% quality to a particular scene type, "Pan-Sexual" that increased their own like ratings by 20% across the board (thus there will be nothing that they absolutely won't do), "Nympho" can be changed to simply be -90% to happiness lost from doing scenes (they'll go as long as their body can hold out), "Giver" results in -90% to happiness lost for their partners, "Screamer" gives them +10% to all scene types, etc.

Meanwhile, I was thinking about that pimping suggestion from before and I expanded on it. Right, so we've got straight porn scenes. That's done. We also get random third-party requests that show up in the Empire menu. Let's expand on this...
New system is three tiers: Non-porn, porn and prostitution.
Some requests won't even been for porn at all. These pay the least but also cause absolute minimum happiness loss for the models. These will invariably just be photoshoots, but might require the MC to acquire & dress models in specific outfits, first. This would reflect basic, family safe stuff for legit modeling agencies selling clothes, jewelry and make-up. Or perhaps celebrity endorsements for condoms & sex toys. Either way, the model just has to be there and look pretty/handsome so it's very low stress for them... and it ups their popularity, anyway, though it doesn't net you fans.
Porn requests remain unchanged.
Prostitution requests can be for models of a certain type or even a certain model in particular. These requests should pay a lot of money but also require a model be compliant - this means their happiness needs to be 75% or higher (if relationships ever get implemented, then a high relationship with the MC should be the requirement instead). And taking the job will cause a massive happiness drop, probably requiring even more downtime than normal. After all, this isn't what they signed up for... unless they have the right trait (Such as Nympho, or were hookers that were hired off the back alleyway in the first place). Some of this happiness loss can be mitigated by the MC's charisma and/or intelligence, of course. So you're not really running an escort service per se, you're just letting those lonely millionaires know that for enough cash things that aren't for sale... are.
And finally, the hybrid request which combines a porn scene with prostitution. This is some rich jerk/bitch offering money to be in a porn shoot with one of your models. They'll be randomized, one-shot models than vanish once the scene is done, but hey, at least you can monetize the video afterward.

Once you assign a PA to Talent Search, you look under their options menu and can refine the criteria they look for.

No, I was thinking of just taking the special requests thing already in the game and expanding on it.
thats a fine suggestion, but doesnt it turn away from the main focus of the game? i mean things like this may be more suited for mods, something which according to PEdev is more than welcome and i think hes trying to lay the ground work for modding also. im saying this because i think he has a specific roadmap hes following and adding stuff like this may derail his focus
I'd like to see this game have a less clear cut line between cast and crew, like being able to have your PA shoot porn from time to time.
