For best results you need Lena and her cream machine talent. Try shooting 3-5 creampies per scene, and see how you do.
I don't even buy pills, and I still have more pregnant talent than I'll ever need.
Usually they let me know about a week after.

Don't use condoms in scenes (company's policy). I don't know why you have this problem. Usually, I pump a girl few times in a week and after some time she becomes pregnant.

It's always a close call once you start a company. If you want a "safety net", and don't want to cheat, you will start with $10M or $20M (can't remember) and max stats for the MC by naming your (male?) MC "Mr. Rocco".
When playing with male MC, male actors are hireable either through the agency or by asking your talent search PA to look for a male model.
In the beginning you need to be careful with finances.
Only hire a director and minimum camera/lightning equipment and do all the planning/video editing yourself. After a few months you will have enough and can increase your staff. Once you can hire camgirls you start swimming in money.
But in the first few months if you don't watch your finances you can easily go bankrupt if you spend too much money too early on too many employees. With PM you mean Private assistants i guess?
Finally male actors you can either hire in the bar/beach/nightclub/gym if you play as female PC, or you can hire them as male PC via talent search from your PAs.
The last time that I started over, I chose the pregnancy pills that are offered at the very start, and by the end of the month about 75% of my girls were knocked up. It honestly happens much too frequently with that option on, IMO. I've never played using condoms, but it seemed like in older builds of the game, as long as you didn't creampie the girls, they rarely got pregnant, and you could sort of focus that on the specific ones you wanted to knock up. I liked it more that way, as I'd target particular curvy ones.

It's not something I do often because I'm not entirely sure of the in-game benefit. The private club does feel like there is more to come, but it is a good place to recruit - if you need to once you can afford to buy the place.
However - once you own the club, you can go to "Production" (in the office, the 'Camera' icon - I'm sure you know this, but for future readers who may not) screen, select the "Stripper Pole" and assign girls there. It works the same as assigning to Photos or to Cam shows. When I visit the club after assigning a girl, they are there, standing on or around the stage in some really awkward looking pose doing their thang, as it were. Not sure what that "thang" is, but there they are!
Cam shows work really well and ads a lot to the game and player income, so I'm sure the intention is to make the Photo Studio and the Night Club work in similar ways with different but comparable benefits, but it doesn't seem like it is there yet.
MY QUESTION:
Does anyone here make their own mods for this? I have a few custom Special Characters with some very simple storylines, but nothing too complex. Do you have to start a new game to add characters or will they spawn if added to an already active game?

It's not difficult, but it does require a couple of steps before you can assign them through the regular Production Panel.
First, the girls have to have a "Camgirl" tag. Some NPCs will generate with this tag, but for some reason the "Photomodel", "Camgirl", "Stripper" tags seem to be rare "in the wild." So - you can add these by training or cheat (this game does have a cheat engine deluxe and my best gamer skill is turning on god-mode so no judgement from me on cheats).
After that you have to have a Network (Requires having a Web Admin on staff) and upgrade it to the point where you can "Open Live Cam Shows." Then, with a proper network, a web admin, and a tagged camgirl, you can head to the production screen and assign them. Remember to click over to the "Finish" tab and click the finish button, just like scheduling a movie. And that's it.
Just 3 and ½ dozen simple steps and you're done!
My tips (and note, I'm a shameless cheat so YMMV):
1. You can assign Camgirls who aren't on contract, but you can't make them happy.
2. The better the network, the better the admins, the happier the girls will be.
3. So - get them on contract and invest in your network.
4. You can assign a girl to the camshows and STILL use her in scenes if you DO NOT sign her to a camgirl exclusive contract.

Are you putting these files in the correct directory where your appdata, not the game, lives?
e.g.: on my machine that's at *DRIVE*:\Users\*USERNAME*\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Porn Empire\mods\characters
Is it possible, in addition to cheats, to add a dev-mode to the regular release version of the game?
It's the good path... except if your script don't manage windows in french language...
tested again, with a new game and male player, my character don't appear at all (she's supposed to appear in the gym between 8 and 20).

I'm not a programmer by any stretch of the imagination, but I took a look at your files. Step 2 is really chopped up and "home" is not a valid location variable for the sex scene. I've gotten mine to work essentially by changing only the dialogue in the template. I'll keep playing with it - I'm trying to write a couple of my own so it's good exercise. I may not be helpful ultimately, but my first thought is that you made some fatal changes in Step 2 and should change "home" to "privatebedroom".

We should establish a repository of NPC files, in the same way that brothel sim games like Brothel King have girl packs. Then we could share coding innovations that are successful or popular characters. The NPCs I have written so far are the core characters from SimBro: Alice, Eva, Julia.
