What I love:

• The story, man!

What I like:

• Character progress develops at a slow pace. One little step at a time.
• The tasks system makes it easier to focus on progression.
• The weird science around MC's medical condition(s) is laughable, but I like how the story develops around it. They lead to tons of funny situations.
• Models are very pretty and sexy (dammm Ophelia!). Not so much for Catherine.
• Models offer a nice variety for shapes and sizes.
• The nemesis is creepy as hell, funny and believable.
• Witty jokes and scenes. I found myself laughing out loud quite often.
  The 'inception' game is a funny subplot.

What I dislike:

• Bottom text could use a little shade to make it more readable.
• Random chitchat in the middle of sexy scenes is distracting and spoils the mood.
• Very few choices.

What I'd like to see:

• Catherine gettting more beatiful.
• Some more development on Ophelia's friends, specially Aliza.
• I liked the backflashes on Ophelia and her friends, it would be nice to see a bit more of their history.
  

I just spent 8 straight hours playing through everything and I gotta say, A fucking +, my guy. Not only amazing character design and a good story but the action was hot, too. Also, unlike any other game like this I've played (I've played a lot), the dialogue has some of the funniest bits of humor I've read in a while and definitely has laughing harder than I have in some time so this is already my favorite game and i'll be following development closely. Again, A+, dude.

P.S. This is the first comment I've ever left after playing a game and aside from downloading games, my first actual bit of activity so consider that in just how much I appreciate your work.

If you enjoy interesting facial expressions, this is going to fill that cup faster than you could say abrakadabra. The graphics is somewhat decent for a daz game, better than most but not as godly like some of the giants on this site. That's not to say it will distract you from enjoying the "game." As I played this game for a bit, started to get more and more interested as their were many good scenes. There are certain animations put in this game, that are not always sex related, which is an interesting choice that the author has decided to go with. Overall, would recommend... why else am I giving this a 5/5?

Go play the game, and you'll enjoy this gem as much as I did.

This is the funniest game I have found here! The character interactions are excellent and whoever wrote out the dialog needs to be doing sitcoms.

I am not an NTR fan myself but I had to turn on the switch and go through it. I ended up messing up on purpose every time to see what happened.

I saw where some people complained that you might have to cycle a day because you were locked out until you cleared a grind to let other events happen. This can be prevented in most cases by looking at the tasks involved and timing them out. In the long run it is flexibly linear. You can't move on till some things are done but not everything has to be done in the same order.

I actually love the facial animations. They are a touch cartooned in some cases but they fit with the humor of the content.

tl;dr: A total farce (in the theatrical sense, not the pejorative one), Power Vacuum is by a long ways the funniest damn thing you'll find on this entire forum. And I don't mean "it's funny for a VN" levels of low-expectation funny, it's legitimately and consistently hilarious.

One star off because unfortunately while the writing is top tier, the game design isn't. The whole daily schedule gameplay loop is fundamentally just a cookie clicker sort of timewasting deal because the narrative is a linear one. More than once you'll end up skipping through an entire day just to find and advance the one event needed to progress further. Some events are only relevant in the first chapter (I'm looking at you, 9:00) but persist on and on forever as roadblocks to the newer parts of the story that you will end up also having to skip over and over and over again.

The concept of the game is nothing special, fuck your family, but I like the little twist they put on it with having to compete with someone else. That being said NTR really isn't my thing, so I was initially turned away from this game until I realized there is an NTR toggle! Very nice feature. Where the game does shine is the writing, and in my opinion, the graphics/character design. The writing is fucking phenomenal, with most games I go in expecting a very mediocre story where I'm skipping through to get to the scenes, but this game has me constantly sitting here busting a gut, dick in hand. It's great. The game looks very good graphically and has some of my personal favorite character designs paired with great actual character writing. A good amount of content, and the story despite being pretty overdone, is still intriguing enough to keep me engaged.

This is the most fun I've had with a game. I laughed so often and so hard my stomach hurt. The scene with eva being noisy and the 3 women staring at brenna almost made my sick I laughed so hard. In general the dialogue was excellent. The writer has a great sense of timing and the artist caught the facial expressions perfectly

This game is awesome. The art is fantastic and for once a visual novel has great writing . The old dude is about as visually revolting as the irradiated firefighters from Chernobyl, but that kind of makes him more villainous and easy to hate. I just wish there were more NTR scenes, but to each their own.

This game has some of the best writing I have ever experienced. Just the back and forth between the characters is enough to keep you chuckling. Not to mention the renders are great and each of the characters are unique. Really well done. top 5 games ever imo.

This shit's actually kinda fucking funny, and pretty hot. Really good job by the dev, definitely worth your time. This line's only here to fill out the required wordcount because there isn't that much else to say, go play it.

EDIT: Also surprisingly emotional, didn't expect this. Just makes it better, honestly.

What can I say about Power Vacuum that hasn't already been said?

I'll start off with the Characters. I love their personalities.

Little Sister: Catherine is literally the best. Hilarious, Naive, Shameless, Bossy. Some might find her annoying, but I love her!

Mother: Ophelia is a Mom with a secret Dominatrix fantasy, yet she is loving and very kind.

Older Sister: Brenna is a Porn Addict and Masturbates way too much. She's a Tsundere, yet she has a kind side and is very loving.

Other characters are fine, but the main 3 girls are all top tier, they're all beautiful and have great bodies. Clean CGs with Well lit environments.

Our main Villain is your Grandfather: Hunter; an ex-ladies man and a pervert who wants to fuck his daughters and granddaughters. He keeps pushing our MC to commit Incest as a way to stop Hunter from succeeding. He is Devious, Shameless, and strategic. A good Villain with a secret motive.

There is an NTR element to this game, but it only happens when you mess up while having obvious and clearly spelled out bad endings. They are mostly played out for a gag, with the Most recent one being Catherine going full ultra Christian and burning the house down with all the sinners inside. These are all Non-cannon. and Personally, I like to collect them.

I love all the characters and side characters and the writing is Hilarious. Sure there aren't many sex scenes and the MC hasn't yet had sex with his actual family, but imo, this is the proper speed for slow burn while having great writing to distract you.

I have only good things to say about this game and I wish the developer luck and success. Great Visuals, Story, Premise, and Writing make this game a must Play.

Many games get 'skip unseen content' set and are zipped through. Sandbox games have it really tough here, especially when grindy and most especially if they turn more grindy with age (looking at you, Cure My Addiction).

Very few games get 'skip unseen' turned back off. This happens if, even through the flood of images and animation loads, something about the game cuts through the din. This game is so good, I couldn't give a shit about having sex with each character. The dialogues are funny and clever and I'm only just beginning to appreciate all the visual gags that have been served up the whole time.

Somehow the dev found a spot for a top-shelf Lincoln joke. And the Kevin bear had me LOLing for real, in the middle of a sex scene, for all the reasons.

I think it's time to patreon another game...

This review has been done after playing the 0.6 version of the game.

I had heard of the term "came for the fap, stayed for the plot", but in that case, it's more of "stayed for the dialogues". I'm literally grinning at every single interaction.

The plot is very simple but what makes this game shines is how well it is written. And I'm not speaking about a deep story with complex backstories kind of writing. It's just that the characters are perfectly shaped out and that the writer as a gift to make you laugh and horny at the same time.

Sure some renders can be a little bit harsh, but I see that as a way to further enhance the more comical side of this game, like how Hunter ugly model is here to further enhance the ugliness of his character. On the plus side, you have animated sex scenes.

I was a bit skeptic at first considering the NTR side of this game as I felt like it was more of a power move to attract NTR Lover's, but it's definitely well integrated to the humourus part of the game.

Updates are well structured too. You can expect a lot of scenes and progress with every characters involved in the story, and there is even a scene list system to make sure that you didn't miss anything.

I enjoyed different approach to writing MC . You basically cut out the sociopathic side of sexing up all of your family members a and made it into separate character in the form of creepy rich grandpa that works as the plot device for ramping up sex tension in the house. Oh, and also ribbing on the NTR genre tropes - some of the Hunter interactions and "bad endings" were downright hillarious.

Besides quality renders and animations (I'd say on par with "Being a DIK"), the characters are well written and have lots of good interactions between themselves. Props to dialogue writer, especially for the humor. Catherine is fucking gold - just the right mix of wild wolverine , catholic naivety and pent-up affection.
Not a fan of a gameplay frame though - having to skip time to the next day to finish some event chains is just busywork, although I appreciate helpful event list and character icons so I don't have to aimlessly check every room at every hour. Maybe add "skip 24 hours" too?

Jesus effin Christ. Started out as a slooooow burn with a cheeky nod to some tropes and a deep dip in others, but in the end I'm playing this for the humor over the porn. Now it's the best game I've played off f95 in terms of sheer enjoyment.

Massive Kudos to Dev. The dynamic is fantastic. The characters are far more fleshed out than they have any right to be, especially seeing as how unrealistic they have to be for the porn.

I kinda wish it was a VN, cause the constant replaying of events distracts a little from the flow of the story.

English isnt my first language, so i won't write anything long... the gameplay nope, story bland. the good thing that i find in this game is humor and awesome animation, oh yea the render is really nice.

i personally don't like the MC, he is really dumb and boring , i mean lets have sex after show my boobs, 5 times massage , BJ, HJ, TJ first, for now please go home, we'll fuck in the next patch. isn't every porn game like that?yea pretty much! but they don't drag it too long. if you drag it too long it will become boring, obviously.

suggestion, maybe instead of humor, dev should focus on making solid and interesting story

Great game, in several aspects. Mainly well written, and super fun scenes and dialogues. I like the fact that I can turn off NTR and enjoy the game. Will keep an eye out for the next update. Good job to the dev!

I strongly recommend this to anybody. The story will keep you interested while you play through the content, lasting ~4-5 hours at v0.6.

While actual sex scenes are rare, there are still 8/10 renders of the many characters and plenty of nudity.

The story is engaging and pretty humorous, along with the characters being unique and likeable. You don't rush into sex the moment you open the game, which is nice. However, some portions of the game may feel grindy, though I didn't personally experience this.

The MC is funny and has 'morals'. You won't find yourself raping other people in their sleep (unlike other VN games).

But, this game features no gallery + no mods to rectify this as far as i know? (gallery has been added in v0.6 final). and consistency between some of the quests of the characters are sometimes absent. The lack of sound and music doesn't concern me but may do for you.

The story alone makes this worth playing. 9.5/10

What was that ?

Why is it so good ?
Very good renders, sexy girls, a ton of humor, good quality animations

Wait...that's not all !

But what ?
What was that grindy gameplay though ? especially on early chapters, I think the dev realized it was too annoying and reduced the amount on the following chapters. It is very slow to unlock scenes, which is not necessarly a problem, but when it's coupled to a grindy gameplay with a lot of repeat...it can become really annoying.

But why ?
Why it is not perfect ? Because due to the gameplay, the story is a bit in pieces with some non-logical moments. For example, you can be totally mad with a girl on the morning, but on the afternoon totally in love with the same girl, just because the girl is in 2 sides stories which are not linked and which you have to advance separately. Therefore it can be very absurd at times. Not a big problem if you make the effort to separate each side story, but it is still weak point. I really think the gameplay could have been a lot simplified and made more linear, as you have to do everything at the end anyway, therefore what's the point to complicate things for a fake sense of freedom which just brings incoherences and waste of time ?

However despite those remarks, it is a really good game, all the rest is almost perfect, you just need a bit of patience, but the scenes are rewarding, and overall the game is a lot of fun with good dialogues. So I will keep 5 stars despite the few flaws but it could have been a 6 stars masterpiece with a better gameplay and main story, because the technique and the writing is there. Also it needs more music/sound to be there !

Final Update: I don't intend to touch this review again. It's been ~2.3 years since I wrote my original review and MC still does not have a fully satisfying sexual relationship with the primary love interest. For , dev has dragged this out. There is now a convoluted mess of non-canonical content and tons of filler in the game all made in an attempt to justify not finishing the game. Well, attempt failed (imo, $5.5K a month on Patreon alone suggests the masses think otherwise however), and you've turned your IP into a mess now. Congrats. Imagine getting paid a 50-80 grand self-employed salary for 3 years and having this to show for it.
