That's a silly assumption to make. Why wouldn't those who subbed solely to play the update not ask for a refund? I'm thinking he wants the last chapter of the game to end differently than what he previously thought out months ago. The game is a passion project of his he doesn't want to release half-assed work. Also life stuff happens suddenly so there's also that.

Ya this isn't great already 15 months between beta releases. I get missing a deadline but by months seems crazy.

All you did was give an update timeline that translates into nothing. What does the frequency of updates of PV have to do with people being angry feeling cheated that he won't release an update this month? Spend your money how you want we are all adults here, but alot of his subs are investing in the game as a whole because they enjoy it and would like to see the creator prosper and continue to be able to create.

It shows nobody should be surprised he delayed yet another update but what did surprise me was the length of the delay, He posted 15 days ago and in his last status update said it was deffo coming in March, There is no fucking way he underestimated his workload by months rather than days -couple weeks. so he knew in advance the update wasn't coming but only confirmed that in the last day or two?

He knew when he typed that status update, it's not coming this month and he still choose to bait people to buy more time for him.
And here is a bigger question, what guarantees he will release the update in a couple of ((month)) ??
He said at least, btw, which could range from 6 to 12 months. Good luck with that. Anyone who's still willing to trust him and wait for all that time have no one to blame but themselves.

Read his post again. He mentions whatever was happening has gotten unexpectedly worse. So when he pushes the beta out he knows he won't be able to allocate the time for bugfixing(and other touch ups) until the irl issue is fixed. This is a passion project of his he wants to make sure the last final chapter of his game is perfect in his eyes.

Why do you arbitrarily get to set the minimum to 6 months? what facts can you point to, to make you say "when he says at least a couple months, he means 6 minimum"? Why can't it be 2 months? Where are you pulling your statistics from? every delay he has had has only been a few days. His longest delay was 1 month and that one he gave us notice ahead of time. So how can you pull 6 months out of nowhere when there's never been a precedence for it before?
Yeah, i agree that if the game still needed a few months, he probably knew for a while that the update wasn't going to be ready for march. You're acting like he's been lying to us time and time again. We are suppose to "stop trusting him" because in the 5 years of making PV, he messed up big time once? Please, tell me 1 dev who hasn't. WWG doesn't mess up on a consistent basis to be called "untrustworthy".
edit: i also want to be clear. I don't like the delay either.
I'm huffing some hopium with this but there is always the chance he said it would take 5-7 days for the refund to process knowing that the update would be out for April 1st and everyone that messages him R will get a link for it instead along with an April fools wallpaper. I can't really explain the discrepancy between the last update and the current TBD otherwise.

That's something i was discussing too. That this is too strange for WWG. He has given early warnings if the game was going to be delayed. Especially saying it will be out in march, when the game would be months away from ready. I want to say he's trolling us for an april 1st release.
there's a way he can release it both april 1st and march 31st. He lives east coast. When it turns april 1st, he can april fools prank, but the rest of the US will still be in march 31st.
Could be a stretch and his post could still be real, but i just find it strange. Mostly because WWG never said "TBD" on a release date. Repeating myself here, but he has always known with good estimate when he is going to be finishing his update. To have an unexpected slowdown near the end and that add months to the development? I'm not buying it.

So let me get this straight, you are upset by the amount of time I said he could take but not upset by the fact he did delay for a couple of months, fair enough, let me explain why did I say 6 months.
First, he said a couple in my experience, that's around 3 or 4 if it was less than that he would have clearly said as two month delay.
Secondly, he said ((at least)) so those 3 4 months could go easily to 5 or 6 months, hope that's clear enough for you ??
And now let me ask you this, if you have GF and she kissed some other guy and lied about it for ((ONE) time only, would you trust her again knowing hey this girl lied to me only once, I surely can trust her again, right ??
Bro, he straight up lied knowing he won't update it this month why should I or anyone else belive him again, It's not an exucxue if other developer did it,that just means they are shit too simple as that,It's basic humen behver btw if someone lie to me I tend to not trust him.
Im mad about the delay but am more mad bec he was lying for at least the whole last month or two when he is not even that close to getting it finish and you should be mad too.
