As WWG's #2 fan and a top-tier patron, I must say that I am deeply disappointed. I don't even care about the money I've contributed, I'm lucky to earn enough that it's insignificant to me. But I'm wracking my brain to figure out what kind of medical issue could prevent someone from writing dialogue for so many months. A problem with sitting? A problem with using his hands?

He's mentioned surgery and lack of energy... maybe he had a cancerous growth removed, and the chemotherapy is kicking his ass? IF it's something like that, well, that's horrible luck. In addition to physically suffering, people probably wouldn't believe him if he shared those details online, so why would he bother?

At this point, so many years into working on this game, it's hard to imagine he'd WANT to leave it unfinished. His last communication seems to be in good faith, with his plan to pause payments until the update. If he sticks to that, maybe we'll see the update in a few months? I guess the worst case scenario is he never gets better, and can't ever finish the game.

Life is too unpredictable. Reality can throw up such crazy situations that even the craziest scriptwriter wouldn't always think of. Shit happens and it happens often and all the time to all people. I think you shouldn't be afraid to tell the truth to your audience, you should tell them and share your experiences with them.
This way, it will be easier for people to build on this information and formulate their expectations correctly. Especially if it is a paying audience, which I would consider a second family that appreciates. And there should be no secrets from the family..

I believe I brought this up on discord after he announced the first delay and I don't think it should be dismissed entirely as an option. I said dev should take a page out of Moochie, the dev behind Photo Hunt, and release the content he has for the final chapter (renders and animation). Those who don't want to spoil themselves just wouldn't download it. If we are to take the dev at his word then he has to be going through something pretty serious. I hope he gets well and wish him all the best. He should prioritize his health but his battle/recovery could go on for who knows how long. Hopefully it doesn't get worse.

Like I get that he in bad health and such and wasn't able to work much on the game. But how are you able to estimate a release window when not even remotely at the finishing stages yet. Just say from the start that you couldn't do it or at least be a little transparent to your supporters so that they don't keep their hopes up.

Telling lies and name calling. real mature. He earned 5k a month on MAX. that's the highest he's ever earned. he's been floating the 4k's mostly. no month has he EVER made it into the tens of thousands. Don't just take my word or that guys ass pulled numbers out of nowhere. Here's an actual link

WTF, another popular game abandoned, I've been a member here for almost ten years and this past year soooo many big time games have become abandoned, it's heartbreaking, this game had some of the best animations out of the hundreds of games that I have played, and the female characters were some of the sexiest, man oh man, I pray that the dev gets his health in order because if this game is truly abandoned then this is a disservice to the gaming community and to this extraordinary game

It’s not abandoned. This website tags games as abandoned as a rule, not because the games were officially abandoned. The dev says it’s still coming, it’s just delayed.

You guys can hate me all you want, but look who was right AGAIN! This was never getting released, and he was never working on it. Then yet again just a week before his timeline ends he puts out a last minute delay. Health issues true or not, if you can't admit at this point he wasn't actually working on it you're delusional. He's lied repeatedly. This 7% left from January has now went from estimated March, to May, to July, now indefinitely. If his health issue is true, the rest of his estimates and him being "busy at work" were dishonest.

His last delay or two delays ago (who can keep track), he said his health issues went back as far as December. If he would've said that immediately months before anyone even expected the update, a lot more people would've been inclined to believe him. Instead he said he was working hard through the holidays, and then backtracked on that later after a delay or two. If he had been up front and honest from the get go, if he has actually had health issues, he probably would have a lot more leeway with most.
