so fucking true, so many devs get so much hate cause they set hard dates, and the masses in this hobby don't understand that creative endeavors on a shoestring budget usually made by 1 person... are VERY susceptible to outside factors negatively impacting them.

That's the thing. his updates were not fast, but they were consistent and big. each update took a little longer to release then the last, because more content keeps getting put into each chapter. more content of course = more dev time. some people just can't seem to fathom that the content doesn't create itself and he has to actually work.

This is the first time he's ever been actually late for an update and it's the last update. they are so fast to forget how hard he worked for the first 3 years of this games life and then shit on him for messing up on the last update.

For the benefit of the doubt, if the developer claims to have health problems, as a human being I wish him a speedy recovery and not to rush the work. And then it seems to me that up until now he has always released quality products, otherwise you wouldn't be here demanding the latest update.

Some people just like shitting on things.

[Rethinking]

I am thinking, if we should set some rules amongst ourselves for discussing certain topics? For example, we could agree to only discuss certain issues such as developers not doing updates on time or milking on a specific day of the month. Reading the same thing over and over again is really tiring.
The dev stopped the billing. Not releasing the update probably hurts him more than it hurts us. There must be a reason, why he doesn't, right? It doesn't matter what it is. Maybe we should try to show some empathy. Just give someone, who delivered update after update with top-notch writing, the benefit of the doubt. Please?

Im not demanding anything, I stopped my funding awhile ago so im not entitled to nothing, just pointing out the dude doesnt give a damn about anything anymore, impetus could be whatever, but thats the state of things, I mean hes not even charging anymore so why should he...
