Hahaha I told you he would delay it even further, and even still people are coping it's not abandoned. I think some people here have more health issue than the dev has

First learn the difference between abandoned and delayed. If you are thinking the game is officially abandoned because this site marked it as such, you're wrong. The game is just delayed. You're right about that part.

You say delayed right we are at 1 year and 7 months of game development for a single update and god knows how much longer until the dev gets back to work ,so what are we looking at 2 years 2 and a half years just for 1 chapter. i know smaller devs that put out updates every month to 3 months and they don't have the support these older devs have and make as much money as they do but do more work with little money. I think the more a dev gets successful they get lazy and take their supporters for granted ,think i'm wrong look around this website and see the devs with more than a thousand patreons and look at their development time for a single update and 1 chapter never mind the size of it . Stop making excuses for these devs they don't need to give reasons because they know fans will support them no matter how long they take, they got you hook line and sinker guaranteed money every month.

Is there not a Hiatus status tag that a mod can put on it?
Not with how F95 rules work.
Think of it like this; the tags are not applied to things(Threads/games/etc) on a basis of what does qualify but rather on a basis of which a qualification of a tag can ignore any objective metric-set by F95 as a system-so it can disqualify it. Ergo the metric for abandonment caps, under any/all circumstances, at 18 months of no official update regardless of communication from the dev and/or news from the dev via any other source.
Anyway to use a metric/medium I have in the past here: in manhwa terms PV is on "indefinite hiatus" since-according to the dev-the update is being worked on consistently albeit at an indefinitely drawn-out pace. So the closest thing you could call PV's status in F95 terms, without considering time as a disqualifying factor, is 'on-hold' since it's currently being worked on without a stated deadline but for it to be 'on-hold' it needs less than 18 months while also maintaining clear communication.

Being "just delayed" is not an honest representation of the state in which the process of development is found in right now, its Indefinitely Delayed, after missing 3 consecutive deadlines well past their initial estimation.
And that's also undermining the reality in which 99.9% of the "abandoned" threads in this website are tagged as such because of the fact that the state of the development is unknown, and not because it was officially announced.

But it IS know. it's on haitus because dev is sick. he will continue to work on it when he gets better. why is that so hard to understand. all the haters are saying the game is pretty much dead, when in reality, dev is sick and will get back to it when he can.
This is the last update, he will not just stop. ESPECIALLY when he has so much work done on it already.

Says who? The same dev who's outright lied for months now? And let's assume the dev really is so sick he can't work on the game. Who's to say he'll ever recover, or that he does soon enough to even bother finishing it? I want to see the ending same as all of us here, but you have to be realistic here, everything about this situation is pointing to a bad outcome.

I've just had a lawyer ring me, who is representing straws. He said you need to stop clutching at them, because you're doing it so often over refusing to realise that the dev hasn't just gone out for cigarettes and is most likely never coming back, that they're viewing it as sexual harassment. Try waking up and smelling the coffee, and leave the poor straws alone.

Yes the reality is that dev is sick and he will get back to development when he gets better, but there's more to that reality, he's sick for at least a couple months now, in the same period that he believed he would get healthier and be able to close off the update and ship it, he infact found himself unable to do that.
So, because he isnt providing any specifics in order to establish an idea of his current state compared to his initial fallout, and if I follow the vector which started in a couple month delay, and eventually culminated into an indefinite delay and a hiatus. We have to consider that an important part of this reality (which isnt fully known) could imply:
1. dev found himself stagnant in recovery.
2. his health is getting worse.
3. A more complex chain of events that nobody has an idea of its implications even dev himself.
So the honest reality is everybody hopes the dev can recover as fast as possible and be able to close this chapter out, but nobody knows when that'll happen or if it'll happen, even dev himself uses that same rhetoric.
And that's enough of a warrant to tag this thread as "abandoned", considering this tag isnt inherently permanent either way despite its name..

I'm surprised a dev who communicated so little was able to lie so much! Surely you can provide examples of these lies, and not just go "well, he didn't tell us and that's lying by omission" because that's also speculation on your part. But I'm sure it'll be "oh, he missed his two predicted release dates, so we'll say he missed three deadlines, even though he made it clear early on he'd never give a hard deadline".

It's not speculation, it's extrapolation. And the idea that he's working on it that you and dartred are going by? That it will be finished one day? Guess what that is? Speculation. So don't come at me for "speculating" that a dev who can't finish like 5% of an update in 4 months, while giving multiple release date estimates, and not informing his paying fans that there might be serious delays, in an industry that's unfortunately ripe with scammers that cut and run at the 11th hour to milk their subs (yeah, he paused subs, but flat out implied that he might "forget" one month), is lying. Not if you're just going to turn around and push false hope through, "checks notes" speculation.
Life is, unfortunately, dark. And no, I'm not making it sound like that, not even close. I'm simply stating that it's a possibility. We don't know what his health problems are. But they are bad enough to force him to take an indefinite hiatus, so there's a possibility that things might never recover well enough for him to return to working on it.

Yes, it's a dick move. Yes, it could have been handled better in a thousand ways. Yes, I'm very disappointed in him for what happened. But I will not use slander and falsehoods to voice my grievances. You're one hundred percent right to be angry at WWG, but please, don't do it by making up stuff, since that's not necessary. He fucked up! So, why make things up to try and make it worse? My issue with you is not that you're mad at him, it's that you say he lied while he didn't. There's a difference between saying you feel you can't trust someone and flat out saying they lied.
Correction, it's him not being informative to avoid having to stop his funding from coming in too soon. It's him deliberately withholding information from people so they can't make an informed choice, aka, lying by omission. Which, I don't know how to explain it to you, is, in fact, lying.
