...did you really miss the part where I said 'he already burned through all the good will he's garnered'? Let me repeat, this whole cycle was a horrendous falilure and while he's been consistent up until this point, this dev cycle has been so bad that it has casted a huge shadow of doubt to any new content he would do if there's even more content after but this cycle could just be incompetence, so maybe better planning of the scope of the project or find ways to cut up a gargantuan update like this one so it can be released in chunks would get him back on track and in good graces in no time.
SCAM would be if he isn't working (he already said he is taking a hiatus i.e. not working) and still charges you by 'forgetting' to turn off monetisation, if someone sold you a house you adore but keeps charging you for some details that are never actually done then it IS a scam. He hasn't done something like that and I really hope he doesn't, I love this game but I would hate to not only end up with an incomplete story but also a very sour opinion on its creator.

Sadly, the latest update is that the dev has health problems and is going on indefinite hiatus, so, who knows when or if we'll get the update.
