Ren'Py Abandoned Power Vacuum [Ch. 12 Official] [What? Why? Games]

Amazing of you for taking the time to share this. There's only one problem: I don't have a saves folder. And I do have saved scenes.

I'm don't know if the save system is similar on mac, but on windows the "/game/saves" folder gets created after you start a new game and make your first save and it also make another save folder with duplucates in the system file.
The system save location on windows is "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\RenPy/NameOfTheGame"
You can most likely find the equivalent for mac by searching "renpy save location on mac" on your search engine.

I know that your on a Mac.
Some MacOS primers:
~ denotes your home folder, on whichever volume that is.
In your home folder there is a folder called Library. By default it is invisible. My advice is to make it visible at all times.
Note, there is also /Library and /System/Library. Those are not the same thing.


Alternatively, in Finder, you can press shift-command-G and paste ~/Library in the adresbar to go directly to your Library.

BTW, Spotlight does not search in invisible folders. I recommend Easyfind from the Needful Things collection = freeware from Devontechnologies

not actually abandoned. dev is still working on it. story told multiple times, so short version. Dev had surgery. billing is paused until he released an update. progress is slow.

You're using someone else's save file ?
Do you use some mod apart from the mandatory patch ?

Edit: I see Apptranslocation in the report. This means that the game is most probably quarantined. This might cause problems even if the game seems to run.
Know that MacOS quarantines about everything which is not from identified developers or from the App store.
