Hey there, adventurers!
I hope you're all doing well.
I bring news that’s not exactly great, but not terrible either. We've had a pretty smooth ride for a while now, right? If I’m not mistaken, the last issue we had was sometime in the middle of last year. Well… we’ve hit another bump.
My SSD broke.
BUT THANK GOD I managed to recover most of the files. The lesson I learned from last year’s incident really helped me this time: always keep a backup on a separate SSD.
"So everything’s fine now, right? SSD broke, you recovered the files… where’s the update?!"
Well, that’s where the
solution to the original problem brings its
own problem. Some of the images were completely corrupted. I only got my PC back today—it broke down last Sunday.
Yeah… the update was supposed to come out Sunday, but then this happened.
In short: the LUFA update
will come out—it was nearly done.
But future updates for my other games might be delayed by a month.
So yes, May might not have an update.
So far, I’ve only seen broken images, but I have no idea if any other files got corrupted too. To be safe, I’m going to replay all my games and manually check everything to ensure nothing else is broken. The last thing I want is to release a broken game that causes frustration instead of fun—I just can’t do that.
It’s a rare situation, but it happened. Now “Cas the dev” is switching over to “Cas the QA agent.”
I’m not sure how long this will take—probably around two weeks—to go through all 5 of my games. That’s why May might go without an update.
But if everything looks good and no other files are corrupted, I’ll still try to release
something, even a smaller update, so we don’t leave May completely empty.
Wish me luck—and may God bless you all.
I'm still releasing the new update for
Lukestria Family, v0.5,
today.
If you find any bugs or broken images, please let me know ASAP and I’ll fix them right away.
Have fun~~
