I dunno, some people earlier in the thread were complaining about how you blew up the content that was already in the game and started over, but the new engine definitely feels a lot smoother and the opening chapter feels much more coherent. Here's hoping the game doesn't go to the big content farm in the sky due to slow development pace.
a lot of that if im remembering the story right was due to patreon meddling. only way outta further would be to convince most the patreons to jump onto subscribe star as last i rember most the income is comming from the patreon.

Starting back from scratch wasn't my idea, and I definitely agree that it sucked to have to take the content out. But we're gradually getting everything back in, and with the engine updates, the new moveset, everything we're putting in, I have a feeling we've got a great second shot at it.
If I've got my say, we'll keep on pushing out these improvements, and get back to adding brand new content, as well. It's taken way too long to start making the leaps and bounds I know we're capable of.

There was an enemy, yes, that would have gotten us into deep hot water with Patreon, once they put in their new restrictions. And I know that came as a heavy blow, because a lot of people reaaaally liked that one. But you are exactly right, in that the only way around that would have been to get everyone on board with Subscribestar, and abandon Patreon entirely. And that would have been pretty complicated. I'm still hopeful we can make that switch, but for now, we've gotta keep working with the rules Patreon cracks the whip on our backs over.

I've seen games do this to allow "taboo" interactions: the build distributed on Patreon has the content locked, and the end user has to add a file with a specific name to reenable it. At a minimum, you could distribute the unrestricted build on Subscribestar, might even get people to switch over.
