First of all, I'd like to thank @TeamDeadDeer for this fantastic game, it's been very impressive so far, I really can't wait when when you wrap up the story and polish the combat system(e.g. implementing all the combat talents) and other elements that need polishing (e.g. making use of the inventory items that for now are useless, like bullets) because when that time comes, it's going to be a masterpiece. Plus, that classic Baldur's Gate 1 and 2(particularly 2) vibe you can find in your game, that's just priceless.

In my opinion the biggest strenght of your game are the characters, I'm sure many have said that, but I have to do it myself, the main girls in particular, are absolutely gorgeous and full of life, each with her distinctive look, behaviour and habits, and what's more, even the specific way of talking, like Scylla for example, don't think about changing that, it's a small detail, but that's what makes the characters even more memorable.

It's horribly difficult to decide which of the girls is more loveable, but after considering my favourite one is the sweet Hiho, not only because she's so beautiful, but also because of how her character is written, other girls are great, each in their own way, but for Hiho I can't help but to have the biggest weakness. That's why I have a question for the members of your team that frequent this forum, when are you planning to add new Hiho-related content? And if you can answer it at the moment, when can we expect the next update(meaning any update, not necessarily Hiho-related one)? I'm looking forward to see the continuation of the main quest soon, hopefully.

Wrapping up, thanks in advance if you read that, @TeamDeadDeer members, hoping for the answers to my few questions, and I wish every Price for Freedom player here the best of luck in finding their way through the dangers and intrigues of the city of Kaldea ;)

Hiho update i sadly cant say, we have other content planned first. And it probably will depend on patreon votes in which order we make companion updates. We planning small update this month, hopefully really soon, as long as we finish the last bits of it.

about hunting grounds - there source of endless xp. I offer make progression in payment scaled by lvl, and these random spawn of creatures bit strange, better make kind of population system - if y make genocide 2 times these quest must be not allowed to take some time(20 min) or if y complete another 2 hunts(they in development, but why not?)

And need rebalance economical system, bcs sell golden jewelry for copper - mystery what cannot exist in history(bcs what hard steal 1 coin and make clay mold then smelt jewel and make coinage). Another fun moment - books in their development can priced similar 2 horses, here they similar nothing.

So I've played a big chunk of the game and here is my review so far.

Combat is the biggest gameplay element and it has a nice foundation, but the lack of a complete skillset, enemy abundance, empty inventory...
There is no need or use for almost all items so why have inventory management, you don't choose companions for their synergies but for taste I guess, overall it becomes tedious and lackluster in the long run, combat skipping should not be an attractive alternative, but instead the combat system should enhance the experience and rewards. The abundance of encounters doesn't help either and become jarring in sneak missions or when you kill dozens like some mass murderer and the guys in the next room are oblivious, I know implementing patrolling radiant AI would be hard at this point but the solution is just to decrease the amount of enemies, there is a decent amount of enemy variety, but again combat saturation doesn't help and makes feel the enemy pool smaller and repetitive.

Art and sound are the best, the fact that uses an OG soundtrack with some pretty chill and atmospheric themes, locations are brimming with variety, imagination and details, the different places and architectures that the player visits are great. As always the scenes are some of the best 2dcg, however I don't like how certain scenes are unavoidable or just very blunt in the "no I don't wanna fuck" instead of "yeah I can listen but we are friends", being a more restrained is as much role playing like being promiscuous.
Because this is already very lengthy I will cover mission by mission later.

Thanks for feedback. Yeah combat and inventory is something we intend to polish in the future.

Some parts like people in next room oblivious is sadly going to stay for multitude of reasons you'd need to inflate maps and do pr colossal overhaul for AI and general combat to suit for them joining in.

Is there a way to trigger quest or reset one? I can't trigger the Shamara quest although I have finished? (couldn't get off the boat in time and didn't reload, the flow of the convo made me think it was supposed to happen) the prerequisite.

EDIT: Nvm I was being stupid XD.

Alrighty criticism of the combat and my solution


The combat and gameplay in general is....meh.
It's fairly simple click on guy until all limbs are crippled and health goes down. The limb system is fun but it doesn't save it.
I feel like expanding the combat to include things like more environmental hazards, teammates starting at random positions so you don't have to waste all your movement on the first turn running across a flat field. More enemies types and certain factions of enemies that do special things would help too. Like having the human enemies be more tactical, having archers stay back and shoot while Frontline melee defenders attack them or having medics/support rouges . More animalistic enemies could attack more and have more movement but are generally predictable. Bosses could have special abilities etc. I do however understand if this would be a lot of work.

My personal solution and Another option could be reducing the combat down to a more traditional turn based all party members attack at once(think early final fantasy or earthbound). I honestly feel this would improve the game alot, (atleast for me) and make combat feel less slow.
I also suggest this because of the limb system. The game Fear and Hunger has a similar limb damage system but I think it handles it pretty well, having you cut off limbs to disable certain strong attacks and being able to go for the head for an insta kill if you disable the right limbs. I feel with a bit of work that combat system could really flourish and even fit in with the more ruthless theme of the game at times. It would also allow a ton of possibilities to open up.
It could also fix two of my other problems with the game, Lack of companions and companion skills. Having a more simple, less cinematic game system I feel would allow for more companions to be available from the main cast or at the very least have the skills of companions we already have be more useful. Treating it like a traditional RPG would allow you to fill certain roles with the cast of characters. Tank, healer, support, mage etc.
as rn in game we have 3 Melee specialists and one support. Focusing more on a more flat and less movement based combat system would really make the game alot more enjoyable.
And frankly it would feel easier to implement with more potential for depth and a chance for more interaction with the cast of characters, which are in my opinion the best part of the game. I understand if it's too late for a dramatic change or if you feel it would be too similar to other games with cgs like this.
that is my critique and I'm happy to explain more.

Well, tried game, very cool art, meh combat (i'm not a fan of turn based combat in general so don't mind me), nice dialog and overall game feels extremely good, gonna drop it though because no female protagonist, but again don't mind me, i wish all the luck in the world with the project to dev team, your game is great keep up the good work!

That crack/patch doesn't seem to work for me with the newest version of the game. The game just crashes immediately. It runs without the crack.
I had that problem before on the last version as well. Nobody helped. I wonder if it's intentional and the "crack" is actually just sabotage to punish people who want to play the full version without paying for it?

Nah it just hasn't been updated. Defo used to work.

In Short: NO this Game is Heavy Based on Text, even the Sex Scenes are Very heavy Based on Text and Choises, not much Action, is Chilled, but for the Average Fapper Me includes It isn´t the right Thing, Good Game, I Think ( I mean the art is Awesome and the Feeling is also Good)

What the actual fuck are you on about? This game's sex scenes have some of the best animation in the industry with excellent writing that gives those scenes some actual intimacy and depth. I can understand if the dark setting or monster girls are not your cup of tea, but if the quality isn't up to your standards, I honestly don't know what could be!

For the record though, I wouldn't use the codes in this game for anything other than the collectible CG's. Playing the game makes those scenes infinitely more satisfying. And yes, there will be some reading involved.
