Long story short the dev has gone complete radio silence no updates or anything well except in the discord although I highly doubt he actually meant it

in any case, this game is already much better than 99% of the stuff here and is worth playing as-is

Ngl, as someone who made 2D and 3D games, I don't see how a simple 2D game like this needs bug fixing for this long, and it certainly doesn't take this long to translate it in a handful of languages (I doubt they'll have more than 4-5 max).
I think it's just a case of the artist taking on more than they could handle, like many other artists who decide to go into game development.
I'll still play it if it ever releases, but I'm keeping my expectations really low.

From what I read, it could be Valve doing some random automated checks/updates on multiple games. There's not much info on these updates, but I don't see any asset (game files) updates, only "changenumber" updates.
That questionmark next to the green change number leads us to:

App and package updates do not even have to be related to the app/package itself as Valve does periodical changes to a batch of apps/packages. Usually when such a change happens, it affects many apps at once.

For a changenumber to change on an app that hasn't been active in months, it's more likely a useless change rather than a sign of life.
