It rarely happens, just reset the game, it should work. Is it on a fresh start or when loading a save file?

Many ppl seem to be unsure about: Why is the dev doing kind of a remake after not finishing the first version? This behavior is not uncommon for devs who did their first steps and have learned a lot during this progress (with a lot of mistakes necessarily).

Then the dev has to decide how long he is willing and capable “to ride a dead horse”. Its much more fun and satisfaction for a dev to apply the advanced stuff he has learned. And more fun for the dev means more fun for the players.

For those who are interested in details of X-Dews background, I attach 2 texts here (his Patreon and Discord).

It might be much too long for those who are not fully interested to play it soon.

no i am not out of stamina when enterong it i it gets laggy the mobs innit move at a speed of like 1fps, and sinds i cant get wood from down there how tf am i suppose to make another torch

It's basically the guy wanted to remake everything but didn't want to be called out for doing the whole "remake" thing, so he calls it "2".

How do I get the broom from the princess' room? Nothing happens when I try to interact with the broom.

Is there an alternative for this or is it bugged for everyone?
