Didn't touch that part cause I'm probably the worst guy to ask on the topic. Beat it within 5 tries. You can dodge most attacks by spamming the flying knee to stay airborn.

Nine Sols looks completely badass btw. Might finally scratch my hard combat platformer itch after being disappointed by Alice and Cradle (2 attempts on professional mode) which also has people struggling with the first boss.

Trust me, it is PHENOMENAL. Great story, great gameplay, and my favorite, P A R R I E S . And since Yi can parry projectiles, including fucking RAILGUNS, when someone says "Parry this, you fucking casual", you can have a response ready for once.

As for Padre...yeah, you kinda proved my point actually. He's a working skill barrier, just because some struggled doesn't mean he's overtuned. There's also the possibility that the run speed of the game on weaker hardware could have inadvertently made him more difficult, as I struggled a lot more with the painfully slow version of Padre than with the intended version.

Quick question. Is there any estimated date on when this game may come out in full? Thanks
The original release plan was some time during the first half of 2025 but the creator said in May that he has had to move the release date to some time in autumn instead. So no there is no official date yet but we might get an update sometime during the summer with the release date

So which version of the demo is the most up-to-date, even if it's in Japanese? Which version is the most up-to-date? The itch.io version or the Patreon version.

They have some problems with the game that they have to resolve before release.
This is translation from their Cien site:

Unless this is resolved, we cannot release it!
Right now, Princess Reconquista is facing two main major problems.
These must be resolved, or we won't be able to get to sales.

It is difficult to verify each issue with just my personal playing environment, so I need your cooperation.
It would be especially helpful if someone knowledgeable about Pixel Game Maker MV could come!

1. Game lags
There have been many reports of lags occurring in scenes with a lot of character and background animation, and this is an issue that I have been concerned about since the free trial version was distributed.

2. Save function bug
This is pretty serious.
This is one of the issues that has been frequently reported regarding saves, and in my environment I often had issues with not being able to save, or loading data from much earlier in the game instead of the most recent data.

So they are making this game in Pixel Game Maker MV, and I was wondering what game engine they used for this.

If this is not resolved, we will not be able to launch!
Princess Reconquista has two major problems.

These must be resolved or we will not be able to sell the game.

I need your help because it is difficult for me to test each of them in my own playing environment alone.

Especially, it would be very helpful if someone who is familiar with Pixel Game Maker MV could come and help me!

1.Understand the minimum recommended specifications

There have been many reports of lag when there are many animations of characters and backgrounds, and this has been a concern of mine since the free trial version was distributed.

I would like to ask everyone who has experienced lag while playing the trial version of this game to please let me know your current playing environment (mainly OS, CPU, GPU, RAM).

We would appreciate it if you could also tell us when and where it occurs.

Please write in the comments section of the article.

Please note that we are only interested in “those who experience lag” in order to understand the problem.

If I could do something to lighten the game, I would be the first to do so, but that's not an easy thing to do...

It would be nice if there was some way to automatically lighten the resources or investigate what is causing the game to be heavy, but Pixel Game Maker MV is not equipped with such advanced features.

We will do everything we can to fix the problem, but honestly speaking, it is difficult to make the game any lighter than it is at this point.

Therefore, I thought it was necessary to at least understand the “minimum specifications” for playing this game.

Also, if we can narrow down as much as possible whether it is the CPU, GPU, or RAM that is causing the delay, it would be helpful for future reference.

It would be best if all could play comfortably...

We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your cooperation.

2.Save function malfunction

This is quite serious.

The save system was also one of the problems that was often reported, and even in my environment, I often had problems with saves not working, or loading data that was much older than the last data, for some reason.

After investigating the cause, I found that the save data was supposed to be created in the folder where the game exe is located (Resources > save), but for some reason it was being sucked into the Steam folder and the save data was being created there....

If that was all, it was still causing a rather nasty and mysterious phenomenon: every time the game was started, the game folder or the Steam folder was randomly referred to as the load destination.

Because of this,

The previously saved data behaves as if it has been lost when resuming play.
→Continue playing with the new data and quit the game once.
→The saved data is now back to the saved data that should have been lost the first time.
→I don't know which saved data is loaded each time I restart the game.
You are stuck in a situation where you have to go back and forth between the two saved data.

I don't know if the problem is that the save data is sucked into the Steam folder, or if the load destination is sometimes the Steam folder, or if this problem only happens to people with Steam... but anyway, this phenomenon is the only thing I'm sure of. We need to fix it.

But again, this is a problem with Pixel Game Maker MV itself, which does not allow users to tweak save and load settings.

It might be possible to solve the problem by entering the script directly, but I can't write JavaScript, so there is nothing I can do about it.

I know this is a rather complicated problem, but I would appreciate your wisdom.

The problem with this work is... well, it is not the only one... but for now, we must first solve these two problems.
If you have any other bug or problem reports, please comment on this article.
Please help us.

The dev has announced further delays, reportedly already being behind schedule and steam adding further restrictions to h games has added even more work, possibly doing a full "streamer mode" release and adding nsfw content via a patch.

(free patreon) post:

verbatim:

Today, I would like to talk about two things.
First, I would like to discuss the save issue that I consulted with everyone about the other day.
I consulted with everyone about a bug where “when resuming the game, the previous save is sometimes not reflected correctly.”
We have since reviewed the save system and have uploaded a test version to this article.
This is debugging data, so the content is simple, but it is intended to verify whether the save function is working properly and whether the previous save is correctly reflected when restarting the game after closing it. Please understand this.
Since it is difficult to verify this on my own, I will need your assistance. If you have any free time, please consider helping with the testing.
You can easily reset it not only from the menu but also by pressing the F5 key, so please make use of this feature.
When reporting a problem, please include detailed information about the situation and how to reproduce it.
Regarding lag,
we have received information such as “Due to a bug in Pixel Game Maker MV, the GPU may not function properly under certain conditions,” but we have not yet found a definitive solution.
We are continuing to solicit information, so we appreciate your continued cooperation.
Recently, Steam added guidelines stating that “content that may violate the standards of payment processors, card networks, and internet service providers is prohibited.”
For some time now, many people have been requesting that our game, “Princess Reconquista,” be sold on Steam, and I have been thinking about how to meet everyone's expectations.
We have been working to remove any content that violates Steam's existing restrictions on adult-oriented games, with the intention of distributing patches in the future. However, due to the recent tightening of regulations, there is now a possibility that releasing the game on Steam may become even more difficult.
The only solution I can think of at this point is to release the game as a “non-adult-oriented game” and then distribute patches to address any issues.
This kind of camouflage is a common technique in other adult games.
However, as you all know, this game incorporates “sexual acts” into its game design, so it requires much more extensive modifications than the “partial exclusion” we originally intended.
We had originally planned to create a “streaming mode” that excluded sexual descriptions, but due to the recent Steam incident, we have been forced to seriously consider creating it.
It's simply that what I wanted to do has become what I must do...
The production of this title is already significantly behind schedule, and we are not even sure if we will be able to deliver on our previous promise of a release this fall.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who has been eagerly awaiting this title, especially those who have supported us, but we will continue to provide regular rewards, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

That is a red flag if I ever saw one (and there are two):

1. these many people need to learn to take "no" for an answer, because

2. Adult game + Steam = there is no way the dev had no idea what they were about to dive into. Going through with it, anyway, means the decision to change the game was not in any way forced: just that the effort of altering the game to clear Steam requirements is less than researching distribution outside Steam. If Steam was THAT important - could have (random ass example here) released the game "outside" and then taken a shot at Steam, but now this issue hampers development (not to mention adding some on top, as well).

IMHO, extenuating circumstances aside, this one is entirely on the dev. You reap what you sow.

In fairness to the dev, while yes, the fans could take no for an answer, they probably see releasing the game on Steam as a way to give as many people access to the game as possible, despite the absurd regulations. While this was their choice, I don't think they were made aware that there are better options, whether or not there really are any.

Also, depending on how many people were clamoring for it, there was probably the impression that NOT putting it on Steam would lock a vast majority of people out of being able to play it. So while yes, this is technically the dev's decision, I don't think it's fair to blast them for a decision that they perceive some level of reasonable value in. (This would be a similar issue to if the game took longer to make because they were trying to make accessibility options like a colorblind mode or simpler controls.)

The thing is that the problem itself has been many adult games that take very delicate and controversial topics that are the cause of many conflicts that occur in society, religion, politics, I will put a game that for me was very strong to the point that I could not stand it, it was called Succubus, keep in mind with that name that it would be that demon and would have sex but when I really saw what it was, only half an hour was enough for me to feel disgusted and request a refund because your mission is to kill and hunt demons, but the things that you must rape in very sadistic, bizarre and crude ways and the worst thing is that for more content you had to buy the DLC and even worse they put the gum with a genre that is prohibited than the Toddlercon there were even two achievements in which one was to rape and the other to rape and kill babies. Seriously because of that type of games from others society is a disaster.

Except now "as many people as possible" are made to wait longer, including those that never planned on buying the game on Steam, anyway. That is what I was alluding to with the "effort" part: like I said, "altering the game" appears to have won over "postponing Steam release" - it was absolutely the dev making that choice, no technicalities there.

I don't think they were made aware that there are better options, whether or not there really are any.
This is just silly: nobody is "made aware" of things, you have to put effort into looking for knowledge - it does not magically pop up in your head at random. And frankly, if the thought "what other options are out there?" never even crossed their mind - that would concerning all on its own. Not finding anything is one thing, not even thinking to try looking - vastly different.

I was leaving a loophole with the "extenuating circumstances" part there: for example, maybe the dev did do due diligence, and at the end found only options that were SO MUCH WORSE that sticking to Steam felt like the only way forward. But that would once again bring us back to changing the game VS moving outside Steam.

depending on how many people were clamoring for it, there was probably the impression that NOT putting it on Steam would lock a vast majority of people out of being able to play it.
"Release outside Steam" part + "extenuating circumstances": Steam release could have been postponed rather than abandoned, but maybe the dev, for example, expected the non-Steam profit/distribution side to be so bad that Steam was worth all the hurdles. Does not matter, because once again: their call.

This would be a similar issue to if the game took longer to make because they were trying to make accessibility options like a colorblind mode or simpler controls.
Would be [a similar issue for me] if that decision were to be made this late into development AND used as an excuse to delay the release. It is not about accessibility, but about the timing of the [abrupt] decision to add such accessibility.

I don't think it's fair to blast them for a decision that they perceive some level of reasonable value in.
To be "fair", I am not even blasting the developer - at least, not in the sense of my understanding of "blasting someone". Heck, you would not see me give flak to Steam for this, either. But I still frown at the whole thing happening, even though that does not make me mad or boycott the game/dev or any of that crap: I am still planning on buying the game, this alone is not going to drive me away. In line with what the other poster before me said: not gonna hate the dev, but the delay sucks.

At the end of the day, I am not going to blame a creator for wanting to profit more off of their creation - I am not so disconnected from reality that I think "thank you"s and "wow, nice"s are a substitute for living necessities, but that is not an excuse I am going to sympathize with as a consumer, either. I understand why the dev might have been forced to make the choices they did make - does not mean any of it obligates me to appreciate the consequences.
