Up until that point in the game he seemed like he had a clue at least. If this is for some plot point in the game, it could have been handled much better. This plot driver (MC suddenly does something stupid and out of character) is not exclusive to this game though. Have to wait for the next update to see how this plays out or if the DEV fixes it.This guy is a fucking moron. He's worried that she'll be mad if he's still there in the morning? Was he not paying attention to their conversation on the beach that led up to her finally deciding to sleep with him?
"4 years ago I was living with my Mother. One morning I woke up to the house unusually quiet. I checked the room to see if maybe she had slept in but, there was a letter left on her bed apologizing for not saying goodbye. That it was easier this way. She just up and left me. Not even a goodbye."
He even sends her a text message so that she'll wake up alone with a note. It's like he's trying to make a perfect parallel to the time she was abandoned. Plus, he's lying to her in the text. Back at the beach, she had been asking if he had plans to stay on at the hotel, so it was obvious that she has fears of abandonment. She had been nervously asked what their relationship was now, and when he said he would be her boyfriend, she happily snuggled up to him and fell asleep. What could possibly make him think that she wouldn't want him to be there in the morning?
This dude seriously needs to get his head out of his ass long enough to see the light of day. What the hell.
not to mention that his teeth are a little scary oh wait, I did mention it@Alfred the Fallen
I blame it on that ugly ass toupee that he's wearing the chemicals from it are rotting his brain I mean just look at what it's done to his face.
Damn, that's a lot of spoiler boxesHi all,
I have to say...
Reading all these comments about the MC being a dick for leaving Hollie like that...
I love it!
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I love it because you're all annoyed about it... well actually... yes I am... in a way...
Let me explain :
I've never been good at storytelling/writing dialog.
It's because I'm so bad at it that I made this type of game. (A more story/dialog heavy game)
I wanted to force myself into a position where I have no choice but to write as it's the only way I'm ever going to improve.
Since I started this game I've been trying very hard to make the player feel an attachment to the characters in the game.
It's one thing just to write a story but it's a whole different ballgame to make the player feel emotion for them!
So to see so many of you taking the time to write that the MC is a dick for doing what he did...
I actually feel as though my writing skills are improving somewhat... so thank you!
Now...
It's hard for me to explain anything to do with this event as it'll give away the next update.
If you're interested in the reason why / what's to come in the next update read the spoiler below.

yes but it was very well made ^^Damn, that's a lot of spoiler boxes
From context though, it's pretty clear that MC should be the one saying this. Also afterHollie said:Oh! You mean the lake... Yeah it's alright in comparison I guess.
you have Hollie sayingHollie said:This... Isn't exactly taking it slow you know...
again this looks like it should be MC.Hollie said:I know...
As someone that has seen this game pop up in the updates tab an has ignored it, BIG mistake. So to see so many of you taking the time to write that the MC is a dick for doing what he did...

I finished the game so far and I don't think he is a dick, I think he is a complete moron. A dick would be if he realised how potentially damaging it could be and did it anyway, whereas this idiot thinks about whether he should stay or not and somehow manages to come to the conclusion that he shouldn't! Porn game characters aren't exactly known for rational decisions, but I think this wins the prize for the most stupid that I've ever seen.So to see so many of you taking the time to write that the MC is a dick for doing what he did...
What you say doesn't change how monumentally stupid he has to be to think it's a good idea leaving a girl with her abandonment issues and self-worth issues alone like that in the first place. I'm with Nizzquizz, if you have to give her a scare for the story (you monster ), have MC get up to cook breakfast so she wakes up alone and thinks he left, have him not think about it and he's still careless, but not so absurdly so as to actually leave. I honestly didn't want to play as such an unthinking guy immediately afterwards, it was so "WTF?".The part you just played is only half of the level up event!
Part two will come in the next update!
I didn't see anything in his last post that contradicts that in the slightest. "But it ends well" does not excuse moronic decisions on the part of characters, and it sounds exactly like what you just said; "the MC has had a sudden cause of mild heavy braindamage for no reason but artificial drama".And knowing that you have better plans than just an uninspired "the MC has had a sudden cause of mild heavy braindamage for no reason but artificial drama" has me looking forward even more.
Weeell, for us as players her backstory is the one prominent thing we've seen them talk about. If however you imagine being in the scene yourself, talking the whole day/evening, spending the night, waking up sometime after midnight ... i can see how one could sneak out only to remember "oh wait a minute .. that might be a damn bad idea..." and rush back.I didn't see anything in his last post that contradicts that in the slightest. It's not a "terrible" thing that happens he just makes a ... okay he fucks up majorly BUT it can be redeemed through severalThanks for the share guy's, but after I've read a few posts in this thread, I'm wondering if I should really play this or not, I too am a big fan of Hollie
Optimistic about what? I see no indication the dev realises he fucked up and will fix it so the MC is not so brain dead, rather he's doubling down, trying to justify the moronic decision by saying "Yeah, that was only half the scene, I'll put the rest in the next update and it'll all be fine! Trust me!", completely ignoring that nothing that could come next would justify what MC already did! The scene itself is terrible, but not nearly so bad as the dev's response to being called on it. How you respond to widespread player dissatisfaction is very important, and if that's how it's going to be, "I didn't do anything wrong, y'all are just overreacting", he's lost himself a patron.Weeell, for us as players her backstory is the one prominent thing we've seen them talk about. We'll see, but I chose to be optimistic for the time being.
Sorry, but that's just not how it comes across to me at all.Optimistic about what?
