The Dev caving in to community stupidity means exactly nothing. It doesn't change the fact that there's a lot of confusion over what is and isn't NTR, and that there's an absolutely massive mixup in terms and "sub-genres" between NTR, cuckolding, cheating, and some other stuff. Yes, exactly that. I speak Japanese and I can tell you that's exactly what it says. Even then, there are plenty of western pages with detailed enough NTR subgenres such as VNDB and E-Hentai. ... BSS is not there as a tag on g-ehentai, exhentai, vndb. Unless you mean NTR, in which case, yes, that tag IS there. But like I said, from what I have gathered, after I kept on digging even further, the plot in this game runs counter with the definition of BSS. At worst you can consider it 'cheating'... but the MC became a fuck buddy (in fact, when reading his thoughts, he was EXPECTING her to be catfishing him), the girl THOUGHT he was part of the group she made with the guys in it being very interested in her private account where she upload videos and images (hence why she didn't say anything when they were online dating until they met up). Even then she invited him to be the fuck buddy, expletively told him why a real relation won't work and that she was only into the fucking, due to her career of being a (very cheap) hooker.

No matter what you are saying here, it does not apply to this game.

So, this clearly isn't going anywhere, as such, this will be my last post on the subject. After that, I'm just going to wait and see if this thing gets more updates and more Butter-T art. I'll address a few things here and then I'll get on with my life.

First. Tags and Genres. These are all determined by people, usage, popularity, and more. Even in Japan, there's a limit to how official a genre gets, since it ultimately depends on popularity. While tags and stuff pop up more frequently nowadays because of the Internet and how people communicate more easily, it doesn't change the fact that the value of a genre only really goes as far as how popular it is and how well it is distinguished from already existing genres. Usually, you can tell that a genre properly ended up defining itself when it starts getting media dedicated specifically to it, especially stuff like tankoubons with collection of works specifically for that genre.

Inevitably, when a genre gets popular enough, people start taking different takes on it. Sometimes that branches out into completely new things, other times it's just variations of the same thing, 'sub-genres' if you will. NTR is certainly big enough for that phenomenon to happen, but it also has nuances that overlaps with other genres that does muddle things up no matter what anyone might say. There are distinctions caused by purpose and interpretation.

I think most peole who talk about NTR usually fall into 3 categories:

1. NTR cuckholds who genuinely enjoy it as a fetish.

2. People whom NTR evokes bad memories (Being created on, catching an STI, divorce, etc).

3. As a meme and a joke.
