Honestly after reading 2 pages of hostility, not sure I can even bother to read the third page.
For me its not really about how its released the only thing I care about in terms of paying for something is
A) New and Unique Content
B) If the project closes its guaranteed to release everything.
For me I can understand the paywall but it feels more like its there to tease people into getting it.
The author still takes his own time to make this content. If what is said is true that a new scene gets released monthly to both paid and free users I can't really see an issue. I feel the creator is still making free content which we should be grateful for in itself. We should always be grateful that someone is making content. It makes me sad if when they are finished making content it doesn't get published as its so much content gone to waste, but creators do need to live and they also do like something for the effort they put in. I feel people should feel lucky they have gotten anything for free at all and not hate what they haven't got.
Regardless to style, content or anything like that, I feel its worth noting this content wouldn't be here in the first place if it wasn't for the author.
If people were paying for patreon and not getting something that was advertised I could understand hostility but so far most of this forum just seems to be about hate and anger. This is one person making something, is this really how we should react to something being made in the first place?
We've been told that all content will be released should the project come to an end, that in itself is amazing for any Patreon or Subscriberstar to offer. So much content usually just vanishes without a trace never to be seen again.
I was part of a Patreon once called Pokemon Off-White and as a patreon you could vote for the next Pokemon, I actually managed to win the vote on my favorite Pokemon and yet on that month the project was stopped. I didn't get a refund or anything like that. But to my knowledge this hasn't happened here. This also isn't meant to be a triple A game ether and its no Fallout 76. I feel people need to be grateful for what they are given. If this only had 3 Scenes fully unlocked just to show off the animation and 100 scenes behind a paywall I would see it as a demo that is basically asking me, do I like that art style, does it have unique content, so I can make my decision on if I want to pay for the full product and to support it.
As I personally have said before if this project starts producing content that I find unique and I am interested in then I would happily support it for as long as that content is created.
I would however apprechiate if once someone pays for patreon or Subscriberstar they unlock the content currently released perminantly, I am not really one for content being taken away after as that feels more VIP but again grateful for what is created and worst case senario the developer has said he will release everything if something were to happen to the project. Has EA ever given promises like thay? I mean look at Free to Play games like Team Fortress 2 for example, once Valve pull the plug on the item server the game will basically become unplayable without serious work from the users. Or Fallout 76 when they stop hosting servers for that what will happen. It will all go. We've at least been given the green light that won't be the case here.
Also note to the developer.
Not sure how true it is but I have heard many are escaping Patreon to Subscriberstar to get away from Patreon shutting down stuff.
I know a few creators who were chased off Patreon for things such as Minotaurs on Human or Werewolf on Dragon content.
