It amazes me how easy it is to look up netorare and learn the meaning. Several people have been on this site and several other threads to give the definition of the word. What's truly amazing is people's reading comprehension. True NTR, and the Japanese, who created the tag, even says that it is when a person takes on a lover with the intent to make a significant other feel pain or jealousy by openly engaging in an affair. If the significant other doesn't know about it, it can't be netorare. How anyone interprets it otherwise is their problem. Besides, it's an element of a story, no matter the story. Can you empathize with a character? Sure but, Too many whiners of the term take it Personally, which means that they need to have counselling for their cheating issues. I've been cheated on half a dozen times in my lifetime. It happened. I scrutinize females now, despite my not trying to get romantically involved with any but reading it in a story? It Ain't that deep to me. It's an element of a story. I understand that so Idgas about netorare one way other the other. It's a storytelling Tool used to make you feel some kind of way about a character. It's the same as in movies. An actor plays the role of an a-hole cheater to make you feel some kind of way about the character. It's part of the story. If people are that involved that they feel the need to protest against the studio or burn a movie theater down, or worse, confront an actor because of a story or a performance, again they have the issue Not the storyteller.
