When a creator caves in to outside pressure (in this case, censorship), and changes his story to suit someone else, the argument you just made loses its validity.

If the initiative to change the story had come from the creator, and if the changes to the story had been the creator's own changes, then you would have a point. But that isn't the case. The version of the game which Zorlun is making isn't really canon, because it really isn't Zorlun's game anymore, in the fullest sense.

Of course, the incest patch also isn't canon, because it's not being written by the creator. It may be written "in the creator's footsteps", so to speak, but it's still the work of a third party, and therefore not canon.

There really isn't a truly canon version of the game, anymore, just something which is partially canon. That's the unfortunate consequence of a creator allowing someone else to take creative control away from him or her.

Whatever the reason to change a story is still the author's choice. Author's "cave" to publisher pressure frequently, but since we don't see the changes to their story we don't notice it, but that doesn't mean the finished product isn't necessarily canon. This happens in the creative sphere often with books, movies, music. Since this a work in progress there exists no original version yet, so what is being done now is becoming the established canon.

It's Zorlun's choice to make. I never suggested otherwise. I don't agree with his decision to give in to censorship, even to save his own livelihood, but he never asked for my advice, and there's no reason why he should ask my advice. It's not my money on the line.

Other people have made the choice to tell Patreon to fuck off, and it didn't kill their game. There are quite a few other developers who are doing pretty well using only other funding options. And there are quite a few developers who did kill their games by giving in to Patreon. Zorlun gave in to Patreon, and it didn't kill his game (not yet, at least), so perhaps he feels that it was worth it. But he'll never know if he could have made it without Patreon, while keeping his original vision of the game intact.

I'm enjoying this game quite a bit, even in its current form. I'm enjoying the characters, particularly Myriam's character. I'm enjoying the fetishes. I'm enjoying the renders. But I would have enjoyed it much more, if it were uncensored and true to the creator's original intent.

As for the analogy of Patreon being like your job, I have quit jobs before because they asked me to do something which I thought was unethical. Yeah, it can be a little scary to walk away from a job before you have another one lined up, but I've done it a couple of times now, and it's worked out fine. At least I didn't sacrifice my principles. My principles are more valuable to me than a paycheck. And, in each case, I did find another job, and I still have a paycheck.

The fact that it's a work in progress does not mean that it will become canon. The game as it is currently being written is created under duress, and is not the work as the author intended it. I maintain that it is therefore not canon. You may continue to argue that, because it will eventually become a completed work, published by the author/creator, it will become canon. I simply do not agree with this at all. If it is created under duress, and is not in line with the creator's original intent or artistic vision, then I do not accept that it is canon. If so, two fairly big scenes, one following up in the spa, where Myriam meet with the naughty couple vaguely mention during chapter 1 (one possible naughty scene with two possible iterations) and then meet Nubia in the sauna (only some teasing and character development); second scene is at Eve's loft, with Myriam has the possibility to pass some time with Marc (one possible naughty scene with two possible iterations depending on previous choices) or Katherine, with Myriam witnessing her having some naughty time of her own (three possible iterations depending on the choice made at the swimming pool).

Well he’s also on subscribestar, (where the beastiality is in the update) where I support him, but he doesn’t have as many supporters there as on Patreon. Maybe I’m in the minority but the game is great to me with or without the incest.

When will the porn star and photoshoot routes be explored/continued further?

If I remember correctly, for porn star route - there are only two small instances so far in the game, 1st being Myriam seeing a porn star similar to her in a magazine and then meeting her & talking to her briefly but photoshoot has a few scenes.

I hope you can somehow tie both these routes together like from nude photography star to slowly becoming porn star.

I really like the story/plot you developed for this game so far so I’m really excited on how you’ll explore these routes but I hope you consider my suggestion.

Maybe you're in the minority, and maybe you're not. We don't really know where the majority falls on that question, though we can probably take some educated guesses.

The absence of incest in the non-patched version of the game is not the real problem for me. While I do enjoy incest fantasy, I have played and will continue to play plenty of games without any incest content. The real problem for me is the censorship.

Yep, forgot to answer you last time, sorry.
For June, first I'll pursue the scene at Eve's loft, concentrating on plot development, with Myriam having a few choices that will notably impact future events (not too much spoiler for now). After that they'll be a little scene outdoors with Myriam walking Cassius and another scene with Marc depending on a choice made previously. Next scene will start after a little ellipse, with Myriam going for one of the social work with old people or having Myriam go for the gym if she the player didn't chose to do this side social job.
Of course that's only what's planed, nothing set in stone until it's done, and also depending on the time it will take.

As I've stated before, the 'non' incest as such doesn't bother me because I started playing this game before patreon's 'ban' on incest and in my mind Myriam is Marc's mother, just changing a value to change 'Mi' to 'Mom' doesn't really change that for me. I think if the incest patch wasn't made I don't think it would take anything away from the game.

It wasn't even the 'incest' tag that drew me towards this game anyway, female protagonist and bestiality might of had something to do with it, but each to their own perversion.
