From what I understand, Zorlun just rewrote a lot of the scenes to remove the incest. Sure, some devs get around this by allowing players to enter the relationship status, and this often results in scenarios which either don't make any sense if the player entered anything but the "actually intended" relationships, or scenarios in which the relationship is just a text block inserted into dialog on certain occasions. Sometimes, the latter leans into the realm of the comical - Yes, sister. Come over here, sister. Won't you sit next to me, sister? and so on.

Having a "proper" incest scenario requires crafting the scenes and structuring dialog in a certain way to maximise impact.
And having similar scenes without family relations requires crafting the scenes and structuring the dialog in a different way.
So, like I said, I understand Zorlun decided to just write the scenes in a way that they make sense without the actors being blood related, and he doesn't want to make the (considerable) time investment in keeping both alternatives going.
That's totally understandable, one of those brings bread on the table, so to speak, whilst the other would be more like a hobby project. I'm not even sure there's rules against modding your own game that way (are there?), but obviously you wouldn't be allowed to advertise or even talk about that on Patreon.

Whereas beastiality, you just remove those scenes and that's it. There's no intricate dialogue you need to have in your game to reinforce the fact that a dog is a dog or a horse is a horse. Besides, I somehow doubt there'll be additional beastiality content in the future, but maybe there will - as a hobby project for Zorlun some modder who wants to remain anonymous.

Hmm. I haven't even played this game yet. Just "shopping" around at the moment, and doing a bit of reading up on it first. I do LOVE incest content. It's probably my #1 kink. But then again I do also love Walkthrough mods. Especially in lengthier games. It does happen sometimes where you have to choose between either one or the other, and it's unfortunate when it does . Maybe one day when the game is complete and updates are no longer a factor someone will make a 'walkthrough + incest patch'.

For the time being though I'm trying to decide which I want to use for a "first playthrough" lol.

Well, I don't want to "advertise" my patch (anyway, I am not making money with it), but...
Along with the patch, I give an URM configuration file for the game, that I use myself to cheat a bit and to check different paths without really having to back n saves earlier - Zorlun makes a remarkably clean job of using variables to set e.g. if Myriam kicked out Anthony in early chapter 2 or not, so even if he was not kicked out, by changing that variable, you can get to see what would happened, without having to go back to an early save and redo the game.
Plus, the game itself can notify you of the change of value of the variables (the message shown names are quite clear, e.g. "submissiveness" or "Katherine love"), is in the game options.
It is not the same as the walk-through mod, but that combination may be enough, if you really like the incest kink (so, if that is your first priority)

Actually, there is worst (even because Patreon would object even to "sister"), the infamous "tenant" and "landlady" or "landlord", that bring to even funnier dialogues :-D

Rules against modding your own game, think not, there are people on Patreon who make a patch available for their own game. But apparently Patreon was very explicit with Zorlun, it is not a matter of advertising or talk about it on Patreon - they will consider a violation and terminate his account, even if he advertise or distribute an incest or bestiality patch under his name anywhere else on the Internet.

I never checked (I am not a content author), but apparently Patreon reserves the right to terminate accounts and ban people for anything that they decide is a violation or unacceptable content, without any possibility of any kind of "appeal".

That is why the bestiality patch is made by someone under the name of Prometheus, and that is why I insisted in making very clear I am not Zorlun under an alias, I am really someone completely different (we even live in different countries) creating independently the incest patch.

Never noticed this game until now, but it looks really pretty good. The Walkthrough mod screenshot make it seem like there's a lot of stats in the game. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, but I already got the game downloaded and will start it up once the incest fan patch releases.

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't trying to blame Zorlun for creating the patch himself, just reacting to the post I quoted.
(Okay, I kinda did with the triked out name, but it wasn't intended to put blame on him, more to emphasize the fact that he can't/won't do it officially.)
That said, yeah, that's the thing with these tech companies, Youtube of course being the worst offender, but others as well, such as Patreon in this case. There are games out there with incest content for which this has never caused any issues with Patreon, some patch it to begin with, some games evade sanctions with a flimsy layer of landlady-ism, other games are hit harder, such as this one, appearently.

No offense to Zorlun, but frankly, I think by now it's borderline stupid to even start development of a game which intends to rely on Patreon with a focus on incest. I understand it's still a popular kink fueling a growth of patreons, but maybe it'd be wiser to design a game from the get-go so incest is easily patchable and/or almost a hidden side venue not right there in the spotlight. But what do I know.

But I reckon everything has worked out for Zorlun, looking at his Patreon and SubscribeStar numbers, he ought to be in the ballpark of at least 10k a month. Contrary to many other developers, he at least now seems to produce consistent output, so there's that. That's a growing pain for a new dev. Happens pretty much all the time really.
And besides that it's kinda surprising how often incest flies under Patreon's radar. Lessons in Love had incest for just a bit under 2 years before the creator nuked all the games adult content. Not naming names because the dev is still active and it could hurt them, but really popular and highly rated game on here has stepcest with a very juicy FFM threesome featuring girl on girl with blood related sister without even using the game's patch. Both things against Patreon's rules. Basically, sometimes it's just worth it to see how much you can get away with.

Actually, when he started it, that was not yet the case, I was myself sponsoring another game (had to cut now, due to some "change") which had incest content through a patch by the authors, and there was no issue raised by Patreon.

I should not comment on information on which I have no precision, but honestly, I would dare to say that I am pretty sure Zorlun is way far away from the kind of amount you are indicating, unless the unit you are using is something like Russian rubles or Ukranian Hryvnia , and even then, I would still not bet on it.
The guys that make "Something Unlimited" are a different matter, they are well above the 10K USD per month, that is visible, so it is not a secret.

That being said, it's my first game on every front of development, I learned everything as I went, and no, I didn't imagine I would get nuke like that without being with a few thousands of supporters, but it seems that Istarted just when Patreon decided to clench their fist on incest and bestiality...

Far from it, maybe in a few years if I keep growing, but yes, the support I have is enough for me to concentrate now nearly exclusively on the game (I still have my art but it became really secondary now).

Since the start of the game, I didn't miss any monthly update and have been pretty much consistent yes, I have a far to go yet, but I think I'm doing at least an half decent job now. ^^

For the third time, Myriam and William are involved in a sex scene and they act like they are doing like the first time, it's so jarring maybe the dev needs to close some other paths if you are involved with one character in more than one scene so that Myriam can pursue that specific one love interest for the future.

Hi all interested, this is the patch to put back in incest in 3.02a. Before using it (or showing your happiness, if you were interested in it ) read the readme.txt in the zip archive, and try to use it.

I am not sure how long I will be able to keep it at the link, but anyway Zorlun makes updates so often, it will not take long before a new version may be needed (when I make a new version, I will remove the old one).
There is no image, is only the text of the game, so I think it should be OK even with Mega's terms and conditions.

Remember it is a "best effort" on free time, so I cannot guarantee it will always be happening and with the same frequency as Zorlun's updates, though I hope so.
Hopefully, once done the first, the next ones should take less time, but it depends also on the content of Zorlun's updates, and on my availability, and remember I am not Zorlun pretending to be someone else, I am really someone else (which also means, don't talk to Zorlun like if he was me, and don't talk to me like if I was Zorlun, e.g. I don't make the images in the game, Zorlun does).
