Depends on how much content it will bring.
Let's say you expect to see new locations with fully implemented quests on them. It will take a month or more, because our pipeline is harder than most RPG maker games have and it's our mistake. We have to create maps in 3D studios at first. Then render them by layers, then edit them and match in photoshop. Then finally bring them to the engine.
Everything else comes after that. New characters? I have to design them, create an idle animation, then create a charset of their movements which usually takes hundreds of frames.
Then the story, scripting and etc.
And here is the second case.
If we want to release an expansion to farm... let's say add few scenes, finish the night part of the farm, add interactions to the characters. It will take 2-3 weeks.
