how can i find the cheats ? cuz save editor can't even help me for this game

I hope it is not the case, but could it be that the measures to stop save manipulation affect the game stability?
When I played the old version, it ran smooth and I had at no point any issues.
Now the game freezes at every other occasion. For example, when the tutorial for the inventory starts, when a cut-scene starts, when a transition to another location should happen and so on.
And my PC is neither a toaster nor does it have old drivers.
*Edit: Or is it, that the game is set up to be more than an RPGMaker game? I'm not that well versed in it, but is this fancier than other RPGMaker games packaging of the files really helpful for the game.

Additionally: Let players play the game however they want. People who cheat, will find a way to cheat, but it shouldn't come at the cost of performance or other issues.
And there could be instead a "honor"-mode, like in BG3, were only one save file is used or there could be fixed save locations.

Can't get past the first cutscene after you're on the streets and killing Mr X. Restarted multiple times and reinstalled it just freezes after the cutscene. If I attempt to start from church it loops the cutscene infinitely.
How the hell do you get past the Sheriff? The game gives you no way to heal beforehand, he hits like a truck, the damn dog deletes a quarter you your health instantly, and the ammo the game graciously gives you is useless because reloading takes an eternity and a half.
i saw the cutscene like 5 times and if i try to do it normally i get the naturalwidth null error
Is the prologue supposed to stop after the video or is that a bug? Like was this game made in "chapters"?
