I'm surprised they did a thread so soon. Given how early in development it is, It might give the wrong idea to the usual lurker.

To any of those reading this, be patient. It's not your usual "pump and dump" patreon cash grab. Hopefully this one makes the devs confident enough to do the Darkest Dungeon clone later down the road.
Honestly, approaching DD1's incremental and tooth&nail progression with an objective to lose would ruin the premise, which is what I think they found out. The only way I could imagine for rectifying that would be to play as the monsters (which they did), which would then completely change the approach to the game (which they also did).

DD1 is one of my favourite games, but that's a hard concept to marry with any kind of breeding game. Which, ironically, is an issue Red Hook found with their (completely differently flavoured lol) style of metaprogression.

from their blog ol CI-EN
"The first project was a game in which players organized a party to explore a dungeon, search for necessary materials, and search for missing personnel inside the dungeon.
As a result of Fun QA through playing the test version, I thought that the game, which was developed according to the original plan, was not very interesting, and above all, there were too few "erotic elements".
We felt that the lack of erotic elements was a huge failure, and after a long meeting and numerous tests, we decided that the current direction was wrong and decided to completely turn around the game.
[New Direction: Raising an Army of Monsters for War of Aggression]
We wanted to recycle all the resources we had created so far, if possible. On top of that, we needed a ton of great erotic content at a level that would satisfy everyone.
So we decided to pivot to a turn-based simulation where players raise an army of monsters and invade and enslave various countries."

I know they dipped when they realized, but it's still sad to see. I guess I was blinded by Apple-pie's quality and just wanted an erotic spin of Darkest dungeon with the occasional titty. (Which is already possible on modded DD)

I'll still play this game, but damn if it doesn't hurt hearing that is basically the same gameplay. Even if they added a use for the monsters outside of breeding, with the whole army thing.

Isn't this just a rip-off of monster black market?
I feel so far that this one is better. Black market was way to complicated for what it was. This one seems way more straight forward. Black market had a lot of things that annoyed me and this honestly may be the first dev/game I support on this site in a good while. Please keep up the great work, I love what I see so far.

i'm interested in how they'll do combat, if any, for the invasion element. i think it'd be cool if it was an auto battler (think super auto pets) where you would breed your units and their abilities they use are decided by the traits they have

Okay this seems good, the issue with the last game (as with most tycoons) was that you stopped caring about money at a certain point

I've seen a different monster breeding game (Raid Demon King's Castle) do this and it was real fun, only "issue" was after positioning the combat was full auto so I tabbed out to look at porn until my monsters were done fighting and could kidnap more girls to fuck

save game 100% pls
It's kind of pointless at this point in development cycle. All the elements you could have (goblins and nuns) are present in the game from the start. We'll have to wait a while until we have more elements to play with.

It's always goblins. trash tier monster shitting up games that could be decent.
Yeah ever since that Goblin Slayer anime went viral they are way over used. More common than Tentacle monsters now. I mean it's ok sometimes but c'mon there are loads of Monsters out there more arousing than green midgets. Unless it's a female goblin. Which this game is going to have so points for that. ;)
