Based on the previous title, I'd say probably.
They have concept art, so probably.
The art is really, really nice in this one. Decent gameplay idea too. If properly finished this could be really fun.
I do definitely want a (build-and-manage-on-)Pause key and better management for my units though. Didn't play the demo for too many waves but already I was breeding so many subpar units it was annoying to juggle ... ^^#
Also maybe a little bit better notification system for "ready" births and such. But that one's not that bad compared to the others.

There's also a new update on the Ci-en site, looks like some new details on the surface-side stuff they revealed previously. I don't have an account though, so I can't share any more details.

If the only thing you have is 'Not Working', it doesn't explain much. Is it crashing/Failing to Launch/Blank Screen?
If it isn't launching, have you properly unpacked everything in the original file? Can you run Monster Black Market (their previous game)? I can't imagine specs is an issue if you can run MBM. Are you on the appropriate operating system?
If it is crashing on launch, you might have somehow had pathing or naming issues. I'm not sure how or why, but if you are converting file names it'll fail to find the appropriate files.
If it is just a blank screen, it might be a myriad of driver reasons.
First few steps to try if you have no idea why it is failing. Unpack in a short path name (few folders, no extremely long named folders to root drive). Make sure you aren't messing with name encoding and renaming things. If it fails then, delete the folder and your zip and try a new different download. If error messages pop up during this, record those (screenshot the window if you can), and that can help us determine things.
If both the new and old sources fail, tell us and please list where you downloaded it. That way someone else can try a new download from those sources. If they can download it and run it, then the likely answer is either system errors or user errors.

Do i have to download Monster Black Market for it to work?

Looks like it failed to find some of its files. Please check that your game folder is located on a short file path without non-English letters, and try extracting the archive again.
No, Monster Black Market was more a benchmark to check system compatibility if it wasn't loading at all/had pure black screen.
As flannan stated, it looks like it failed to find file paths, because it is using code calls instead of listing. The #BuildingList is a dead giveaway. The break had to happen in the StreamingAssets folder, I'd imagine.
Did a check, renamed my StreamingAssets Folder to StreamingAsset. Had a very similar new game launch. Had errors pop up that you didn't, but that doesn't mean much. The error isn't likely introduced there, is all.
