surprise me that this game made by same devs of mbm , how come this game lack so much thing if they already mastered this kind of thing , weird
Because the devs:
A) Are not even advertising this as a finished game.
B) Switched visions of what this game is going to be at least twice.
C) Are in the process of development from mostly scratch (you can't just drop MBM stuff into here).
D) Adding things when both code and art combine (implementation is a bit of a bitch).
E) Want to test things so the game they are developing match what both they and supporters want.

I can't imagine this game will be finished until late this year at the earliest.

And also planning. If I'm not mistaken this was supposed to be different before. Back when it was only in the planning stage. I forgot the game they are going to use as reference but it has something to do with a dark fantasy turn based game if I remember correctly.

The original design was very much like Darkest Dungeon, which is probably the game you are thinking of.

Which is a very good game by the way, definitely worth picking up if you see it on Steam sales. Doubly so if you enjoy turn based dungeon crawlers or eldritch lovecraftian horror.

But yeah, they pivoted away from the group of adventurers and onto focusing on the villains, which then become a raiding game where we would send monsters out to capture supplies and slaves (ver 0.1), then shifting onto a monster tower defence thing (0.2 and 0.3) before merging the raiding strategic map with the tower defence gameplay (0.4).

Man the Oni units suck at fighting. They very slowly walk forward and get shot to pieces, for 3 cap. The Orcs at least have that leap attack.
The same behavior makes them good tanks. They walk faster than shield goblins, and they give crossbowwomen time to shoot up the enemy.

You get a lot of those same advantages with the regular orcs though, except that orcs take fewer deployment points. Once you breed some hp bonuses into them, you even end up with them being similar in terms of health but the regular orcs have far more health per deployment cap.

But this all goes into the flat bonuses vs different deployment costs. With breeding, the cheapest units end up being the strongest as their stats end up being effectively the same but you can have more of them. That being said, the devs seem to be somewhat aware of this issue, as the Oni has a higher multiplier on her attack damage, the orcs have a multiplier on their jump and the ShortStacks have their fancy penetrating shots (which effectively means they do 2.5x damage per shot, assuming they hit 4 targets). I think this issue is mostly beating a dead horse at the moment either way, as these kinds of balance levers are still clearly being worked on and tweaked.

It wouldn't surprise me if we see the stat boosts become % increases or more monsters to get inbuilt multipliers on more stats though.

The way I see shortstacks, is that they kill 4 enemies per shot at the cost of 3, compared to regular goblins' 1 enemy per shot for the cost of 1.
I am not sure how good regular orcs are at tanking, but the problem is, they instantly get in range of enemy melee attacks (which are more damaging than ranged attacks).
Orcs might get better at tanking once they introduce ability to heal them by lewding the sisters. Assuming oni can't lewd the sisters.

I don't really understand what "fetal growth" do. I went all the way to breed slaves with -180s so they were supposed to grow the fetus in 15s. But no, same time as always.
Then I thought that maybe it was an translation error, and are the babies they birth that grow faster. But no, they grew at the same speed.
So I tried putting them in the lactation room, maybe the babies they feed grow faster. But no, same time as ever.
So what exactly "fetal growth" do?

It should be the growth from impregnation to baby. Fetal = Fetus. So you should have been right the first time. Maybe it's not working atm? Not really a high priority for traits, so I doubt many people test it (I sure haven't).

Check to see if the trait is inherited by their young properly. It's the fetus's growth speed that matters, not the mother's. I haven't tested it in 0.4, but I did have some breeding set up for growth rate in 0.3 and the gestation time was literally only a matter of seconds.

i wonder if we will see elves and dwarfs in this game, it will bee very nice to have them as well
I think they will be add , since elves are just human with elves ear and dwarf are young girl base.
Article kind of out dated but dev team seem like have a plan for add more race , though i doubt they will add difference animations for each race.

Not sure they will add furry race and dragon race into the enemies pool or add them as monster girl but elf and dwarf as capture target is for sure right now.
種族ごとに三つの形態でキャラクターを区別しました。
We have differentiated characters into three forms for each race
it's possible they will add 3 more type monsters from MBM aside from already add goblin and orc . Werewolf , Minotaur and salamander already in concept art.

Yep, it was the only trait I was passing. Tried every combination, mother, father, baby, none of them changed any time at all.
Its probably bugged in v0.4.

I did some more testing, this time pairing with units without traits for control group. It actually worked if it is the father that has the "fetal growth" trait.
Tried pairing a mother with the trait with a father without and nothing changed.

Hi, forgive me if I ask but I'm not good with English.
I don't understand what I have to do, other than increase my army's strength and number.
So far I have managed to get some Oni (more and more powerful) but now, I just don't know what to do.
1) What should I do with the central crystal?
2) Can the fortress be repaired? The fortress has suffered some damage during the attacks of the humans.
3) In general, what should I do?

1: Nothing, the game is in early development and most the stuff is placeholder right now.
2: Nope, no way to repair atm, though there was a mod somebody made to sacrifice units to repair it. Dunno if they updated it for 4.0.3 though.
3: All there is to do is build your army and breed goblins with stronger traits, that soon become far too strong for anything that game has to offer atm.
