Exactly. Devs nowadays don't share too much about development in between patch releases. At least these folks are keeping us posted with fair regularity.
They release news about their games on ci-en.
I don't think they have a twitter.
It seems to work fine for me. Either you're having some background process (like torrents or windows updating) getting in the way, or you built your establishment too big for your PC.
But it might also be a memory leak, in which case saving, closing the game and reloading should help.

confirms MBM's Steam build review process started and then they are back to ProjectR.The last update scares me a lil, I'm afraid that elfs are hardcoded to have big breasts now. I don't see any other way that animation preview would work otherwise, and that would be.. troubling

Depends on how skeleton is made in Spine. Might be possible to readjust some meshes and sprites in a .skel file, adjust scripting for more sizes (I believe script editing is easier in ProjectR now?) and you'll have more variety.
And man, I hope I won't need to update my old BepInEx plugin from 0.1 version to add more spine switching slots for it
As for how art works in MBM and ProjectR:
As long as it have an asset with variation like "something_0" and "something_1" and game code is set up to read and use it in game it will switch between them. In this case we only can have 1 tits size for Oni and there's no assets to make for bigger or smaller breasts, but mesh editing alone is quite powerful for changing the look:
The problem in ProjectR's editing case as I see it now is art direction itself. It's more complex than MBM, which is nice, but I see lots of shading like "self-shadow" for breasts which in turn don't allow you to change Tits size without visual consequence, but as you can see in Oni's case - it's only an issue if you want smaller breasts than 0.8x from original 1.0x size
. Can be creative with hairs, though. A nightmare to setup for each situation, but gives a unique look each time.

Yeah same, it's kinda disappointing how this game so far has no women with smaller chests, unlike MBM where members of every race could be big or small.

While you can only breed, Slaves breeding with goblins can give you access to shortstacks, who are effectively evil lolis. You can breed with them too. Since they count as monsters, you can also use them to fight.
You can have sex with the monster girls, the 4 beds at the top of the base you can put humans or monster girls there and the MC can breed them. It's how you're suppose to do eugenics with humans, breed strong monsters, wait for a monster girl version to appear with good stats, throw them up into the upstairs beds then breed a human with good stats.
Some people don't like shortstacks (both the goblin Monmusus and as a general body type) and would prefer to have flat chests. Personally, it's not my thing (I'm eagerly awaiting the minotaur cowgirls!), but I can see the merits in having variety to cater to a variety of tastes, with all combinations of height, build and chest sizes being represented.
I'm more worried about me not being able to go mad scientist and breed my fav gurl
