Sourcing crowd funding and getting feedback during the development of the game is very helpful in creating a more fleshed out final product. The fact that they've already released a very well received game before this only adds to their credibility and helps people feel more comfortable trusting them in making this game through the development process like this. Whereas people or groups trying to crowdfund like this for their first game would struggle to find people that are as willing to bet on them or trust them since they dont have as much to show for themselves.

TLDR: They release the early access versions of their second game so they can better improve the quality of the game before full release.

That, and this is a doujin circle. I'm sure they've got real, full-time jobs outside of this game, with this just being a sort of hobby project for them.

I found the sav file in the locallaw directory under teamapplepie but I'm trying to make sense of the 6 pages of values

Did some more testing. This time with the "sex time" trait.
It does absolutely nothing.
Tried every combination at the same time. Both slave and monster, with and without the trait.
All of them ended at the same time.

I can't get the game to work with the sacrifice mod, every time I install it the game crashes... I don't know if I'm installing it wrong or if the version of the mod is incompatible with the current version of the game. Can anyone help me?

its most likely that this new game version broke the mod, if you want to play the mod you'll need to wait for a mod update

Use icon with two axes on bottom-left.
Select enemy you wish to attack.
Press icon with two swords.
Drag and drop a party you wish to send to attack.

Attack will take some time. When it's done, claim your prize by right-clicking or dragging captured women.

Note that you can't attack where there are no women to be claimed. If you wish to attack orcs or goblins, you have to send them some women first, and only then you'll be able to attack them. Time your attack so that the women would be pregnant, this way, you'll get the monsters' children for your army.

I'm kind of impressed with the balancing infinite stacking aside, shortstacks are actually useful later since so many enemies start spawning when at higher Infamy whereas they were just breeding fodder before. Being able to use them in the Lactation Room is also a huge plus. Hopefully automation for sending babies to lactation room and birthing gets added in the future even if it costs something. Knowing the dev of this and the progress so far seems it's going well.

The issue with automation in this game is that here you need quality over quantity, in MBM you can always sell those you don't need which provides a good source of gold. In this game mass production will just bog down your "storage" with garbage units you'll never use, except maybe throw them into raid and hope they die. I could see the point of mass production automation if stats are capped and you need to "copy" your units to replace the fallen ones, but that's end game thing pretty much. By that time we might already win the game

How the old mod worked was by directly modifying the .dll. Even if you did copy the changes they made into the new .dll, they made changes somewhere when moving to 0.4.0.0+ on how seat and order is kept. So it isn't a one to one replacement (source, I found it and tried), and I have modified both the .dll and overwrote the order information with no apparent success. It would take longer than I like to hunt everything down.

Am I missing something on what to do for loading hte game?
I played it a couple hours and seems like some of the art elements in the screenshots here are NOT showing in the game. Like the nuns, different goblin types, and so on.

Just wondering if the current build is missing things or am i doing something wrong?
