Well, no, when you are zoomed out, or looking elsewhere, you don't see it at first glace, and you can skip it. That what i did in my first test. Then I realized later what this was.

I get what do you mean.
About time I point out that sometimes the game won't render the assets, moreover when we're moving the camera around. All of the sudden some assets would unload/hide themselves even before they went off-screen.
...You sure you don't mean "Miss/Missed" instead?
What is "this" supposed to be? My "old" post? Your point? Your lack of awareness? You, refusing to elaborate and went off like some kind of cool character in Japanese Cartoon? Be more specific, if you please.

I think bickering is lame, so I'm gonna break any tension and say that I think this game is very neat. ^-^
I am also going to say that Merfolk are in fact also neat, and could potentially be added if we dream hard enough.
On a side note, the developers mentioned that this update was a bit delayed because they were packing some extra content. Do we think its raiding? Maybe the elves and dwarves are being added in? Thoughts and theories? After all, if the update consisted solely of what was in the images, it feels like it could have been released a bit faster. I'm curious what y'all think.

Doubt about elves or dwarves since we haven't seen art.
I'd guess it's to do with how we're gonna get the orcs and other monsters later on, since we don't start with them. So raiding is possible. I think one of the last few patches at least had the button for it in-game already (but it got hidden/removed again in the next hotfix i think?).

We have actually seen lots of art for various races, just not since the change in game mechanics was announced.
I think it's some kind of progression mechanics. Raiding, research, or sacrifices to the demon girl.
Because it wouldn't make sense to have orcs from the start.
I'd go along with this. If they had new monsters or enemies, they would likely show off some of their art assets beforehand. New mechanics, however, don't have the same impact on reveals and it wouldn't drive the same level of engagement by just having a wall of text update.
Of course, it could be that they have kept something really cool secret from us...

Let me rephrase:
We haven't seen any art related to that in over a year. The picture you posted is from June 2023.
If they were planning to add them within the next update we would have seen animations or other references to them.

Have a Goblin breed with a sister until they produce a shortstack. That specific shortstack will give birth to either sisters or more shortstacks. The appearance of the born sisters are randomized for whatever reason, regardless of what the grandmother looked like.

That's just concept art from a much earlier proposal of the game. That's from back when the game was basically a Darkest Dungeon adventuring game, which you can see from how the art depicts characters fighting without their clothes while the current game has them only lose their clothes when captured.
I suspect we will see similar designs for the different races and classes, as they aren't likely to just throw away the design work. However, there's a lot of work involved in going from some initial artwork like this through to the disassembled versions used by the animation tools, not to mention how there's still so many other poses that are needed in the current game.
If we are going to see any new assets appearing like that, it would probably just be Rune doing stuff in the crystal room. They could implement some mechanics for her with relatively little animation work as she's not a fully fledged slave nor monster.

There's no way in hell they won't add dwarves, they know their target audience greatly appreciates shortstack content that's why we got the goblin monster girl so early. There's also minimum art work needed to build them off goblin girls too, but the animations and other combat stuff will have to be completely fresh.
I just think they'll be busy adding orcs first and elves next, so we're some months away from such things. They might even lay the groundwork for large monsters like minotaurs/minotaur girls after that. It's hard to guess what exactly their plans going forward would be but I think it's mostly going to be laying groundwork first and additions to things later.

If we are discussing fetish related things like shortstacks, how about a toggle to prevent them from deflating over time? That way, people who dislike it can simply disable it, and people who like it can keep it without having to devote time to upkeep.
What I do really want though, is adjustments to the deployment costs. We'll have to see the changes that are coming in the next update, but the deployment costs feel a little skewed. At present, you have absolutely zero reason to deploy short stacks because regular goblins just perform better.
