Check to ensure you don't have any folder or files renamed, as translating it causes issues, as it isn't able to find the appropriate files. Best bet would be a clean 'install' or extraction.
Whats the point of getting shorstacks or oni, besides that they are monster girls. Both cost 3 deployment and it feels like they are underperfoming when compared to orcs or goblin archers. Hell, Orc can close distance with jump but Oni? They just die.....

Try a patch for not-so-latest version. Since it simply replaces assets, it is likely to work.
1. They are useful for your breeding program, because they inherit the stats of both parents, and can give it to their human daughter. Who would then have much higher stats than any woman caught in the wild, making each next generation that much more poweful.
2. Shortstack arrows pierce 4 enemies. With good stats, it means they kill 4 enemies per shot, at the slot cost of just 3 goblin archers.
3. Oni make good tanks. They're tall (so enemies can't shoot over them), and with some breeding you can give them so much hitpoints, they just stop dying. Orcs aren't much different, except that they rush into melee, and have to endure both swords and bows.
4. Early in the game, they allow you to fill your ranks quickly.
That doesn't sound feasible at all. How are you going to get more monsters to protect your base?
Not with base game values. You'd need to do a bit of work on back ground stuff, giving the player some ability to pass onto their children.
You can change the mix so you can produce monsters with each group. You'll need to make changes so the .mix files dealing with the player have ratios that cause it.
That being said, you'll have an issue of scale sooner or later since only one player can have sex. . . unless you make a 'player' character monster. We've done so in the past, just look for Player02/Player2.
Bestiality is not actually in the game.
Human female x monster is the main content of the game. As other comments have noted, changing the game so it wouldn't happen would require extensive modding.
Is your native computer language set to English? Are you using Winrar or just standard OS to extract files? Are the file path names being changed somehow? If it can't find the next value, the value is null in the SetupCoroutine, is atypical if you 'installed' it in the proper setup. That tends to be the case when the .dll file is unable to be read.
I changed the computer language to English, and it worked ( I used standard OS to extract files and I was in French).
Is there any way to change the appearence of the main character/monsters/humans? I've seen that goblins can swap attack form and the images of the preview show the main character with 2 body tipes, so maybe im missing something?
No, you're not missing anything. The game is just lacking in content at the moment, because it's early in development.
Shota MC does not exist, colored goblins used to be born randomly in earlier versions, but don't exist anymore (but can be recreated with some modding).
