My goblins died early and now I can't do any combinations. Is there any other way to get them back without starting over?

First blush.

So this feels much like ver 2.0 in the limited battle factors, but the swap between only one lane to another is honestly less of a headache.

Bad Stuff:
You can no longer drop units into the battlefield mid-battle. Placing units also feels weird. No hot swapping either. Archers in towers will not and cannot aim behind them, which feels funky now. Unit posture (front line/backline/defense) is added, but cannot be individually toggled.

Middle Stuff:
Traps are not as effective as you would expect. This is probably for the best considering they only have a limit and not a cost, but it still feels funny to watch.

Good Stuff:
New unlock currency! This is nice and shows a progression moving forward. Getting some use in battle of slave units is also nice. Your bigger units will navigate a 2 tile wide gap, despite the Orc and Oni being a 1x4 unit in dimensions.

Without modifying the game slightly, no. If you don't mind making a quick save, you can modify your file so Orcs make goblins with woman characters.

1. Save and exit game.

2. Go to ProjectR_Data/Streaming Assets/character/orc
Select mix_woman_orc.mix and edit in Notepad

3. Change

C:
[
    {
        "ParentFigure": ["Woman", "Orc"],
        "CharacterId": "$Father",
        "Chance": 80,
    },
]
to

C:
[
    {
        "ParentFigure": ["Woman", "Orc"],
        "CharacterId": "Goblin",
        "Chance": 80,
    },
]
4. Reload game

5. Breed a few goblins

6. Save and exit.

7. Change back your mix_woman_orc.mix file to original.

8. Resume play.

Worked without issue. Thank you for saving my save.

If you breed the goblins that are in combination form (I did it with the sister one) you get bugged white goblin offspring
Yeah, the problem (which should be easy to solve) is that the combination forms are considered characters, so the character reference is bugged. There is no dedicated mix file, either. The GoblinPillory/Shield character files are under the appropriate sister_goblin/woman_goblin character folders. My assumption is that it is trying to initiate a GoblinPillory character with no values since the code is empty in the .dll file.

I think changing mix_sister_goblin.mix and mix_woman_goblin.mix as well to directly reference Goblin (in the goblin character folder) from

C:
[
    {
        "ParentFigure": ["Sister", "Goblin"],
        "CharacterId": "$Father",
        "Chance": 80,
    },
]
to

C:
[
    {
        "ParentFigure": ["Sister", "Goblin"],
        "CharacterId": "Goblin",
        "Chance": 80,
    },
]
Will probably fix it, since Goblin Pillory is a Goblin, but I'm not sure.

What is the value for the gate/door? I rember you could edit the savefile for that, but this isn´t there anymore, I guess. I just need some time more to build an army before the guards end my gameplay. XD

NVM: found the Values in the savefile:

m_GateHitGuard 8 / m_MaxGateHitGuard 8 -> Just edit the 8 on both positions to 1000 or whatever you want.

Right now structures are a trap since troops should be able to handle early foes without needing them, and later on you want as much space for your 80 mob army as possible and some structures get bugged and are unremoveable. I got very lucky and started with a +8 hp, +1 attack orc, which made breeding a quality army much easier once those stats had started to cycle through oni and into my breeders. stopped at day 20, with +10hp, +1attack breeders, +12 hp on my orcs thanks to a lucky purple, but still only +1 attack. currently doing a side breeding operation with a couple of +3 attack girls to try and get those stats into my general breeding pool. purple stat boosts/mutations seem to be much rarer this version, or maybe i just got unlucky with only seeing 6 in 20 days, with only 1 being useful.

pc, gobs and orcs get unique animations with regular girls, spellblades and sisters, plus the 2 combinations in the field, for those who haven't been keeping track.

This version feels like a step back, since we've lost traits, the ability to raid and the ability to send off girls for benefits, but hopefully we'll be getting most of that back soon. I'm mourning the drop in breeding/eugenics potential, as i have a lot of fun breeding the best statblock in previous versions and their last game. traits are going to come back in later updates, hopefully raiding too since being able to hunt for useful traits and stats is a boon.

Biggest gripe would be the lack of automation for birthing, as it means you can't really make use of all the dungeon space without going mad managing it all. I capped out at 6 orc and 6 gob breeders, plus 4 oni/shortstacks, and even that was a bit much, and i had tons of free space after the last extension upgrade.
Second biggest gripe would be the rng on the pc/monmusu breeding. even my +10 hp oni kept giving me crappy statted kids 95% of the time, I wish they'd change the mechanics of how pc breeding specifically works so that the kids tend to be much closer to the mothers statline, right now fishing for good offspring to cycle into your monster breeders takes forever. automation for birthing would help a bit, but you still would need to manually move the pc around your monmusu breeders.

Yeah same, the lack of automation is really a major point of limitation. There isn't any point in expanding past the first expansion since that provides enough room for breeding and milking that you wont run out of bodies to throw into the battle map, and expanding any farther to try fishing for optimized stats just becomes micro hell.

Also does anyone know how to breed more elves, or are they like sisters where they just breed normal humans?

Most mechanic were changed a lot like the invasion now start of each day, Stats of the offspring now base on plus and minus of both monsters and slaves and this game was auto grinding where you've to farm the stones to unlock structures and expand the mansion

I will update the Auto Breeding Plugin (for automatic breeding) soon to support the new version of the game; for now, I have finished the Russian translation.
