Looks like something good came out of last night. I was in the middle of downloading when a storm came through and knocked out the power. Just got it back an hr ago. Log on and find out that the file I was trying to down was bad and a corrected version was uplaoded minutes before I logged on. I'll count that as a win in the shit show that was the last 15 1/2 hrs.

I beg to differ. No issues at all here, and I've never ever had any problems when a dev upgrades from Renpy 7 to 8.Yep... changing from Ren'Py 7 to 8 will trash all saves EVERY time. A warning would've been nice. Waiting until you finished the game before updating would've been better. This makes THREE games this week with updates that trashed saves and required a full restart. But, what's done is done, my friend.

I suspect the real problem is that people have mods installed when they made their v0.7 saves. See Exhibit A for my theory:
