Looks like something good came out of last night. I was in the middle of downloading when a storm came through and knocked out the power. Just got it back an hr ago. Log on and find out that the file I was trying to down was bad and a corrected version was uplaoded minutes before I logged on. I'll count that as a win in the shit show that was the last 15 1/2 hrs.

Yep... changing from Ren'Py 7 to 8 will trash all saves EVERY time. A warning would've been nice. Waiting until you finished the game before updating would've been better. This makes THREE games this week with updates that trashed saves and required a full restart. But, what's done is done, my friend.

I beg to differ. No issues at all here, and I've never ever had any problems when a dev upgrades from Renpy 7 to 8.

And I'm quite sure I'm not the only one not experiencing issues.

I suspect the real problem is that people have mods installed when they made their v0.7 saves. See Exhibit A for my theory:

If it can help i experienced 0 issues after i downloaded a clean 0.7 version, loaded a modded 0.7 gamesave and save it again before importing it in 0.8 test.

And yeah no music in the menu is because it's triggered at the logo screen when starting the game
