Don't take that person's words for granted. A year ago, E.B. indeed said they had been through a lot, some health issues with nervous system, but they also said they had recovered for the most part. And it's not the first time when E.B. disappears for a long time, so, while a possibility of an unfortunate outcome is there, it's still too early to say for sure. Let's believe E.B. is well and will be fine in future.

It's been a while since I played the game last time, but I remember two things: you need to steal a key from one of the demons, and this key opens the door to the storage where the switch is located, as far as I remember. I hope it helps if you haven't figured it out yet.

Yeah they probably already figured it out but just in case, it's the only winged demon enemy you can't kill in that room. The game is still fresh in my mind, haven't played since my last comment here which was a week ago. I miss it already haha

Oh, so I have to use the pronant steal ability. since it doesn't work on the humanoid demons, it has to be one of the evil eyes, likely the only one that you can't actually defeat and make despawn. Thank you!

if is not a bug, it seems you did something bad such rape a npc or your karma is evil enought to not being able to visit the explorer guild, but at same time you aren't evil enought to use the black market, try speak the old man in 3F to confirm how good/evil you are right now

I know this post is 4 years old but really kinda pissed off despite this being the right answer, i reloaded a save that still has access to explorer's guild, then i completed the 8F/9F Niva rescue scene, next thing i know the freaking explorer guild is not found in the book? Why is that >_<?? I didn't do jack and the old man is appraising me as neutral and my relation with the girls is on the way to a friendship? Rant over, can anyone help?

does it get replaced by the Ether Forge? Is that not a bug?

Dude, it makes like no sense, i have a save that is prove of it, before i save Niva, the exploration guild is available, and right after, it isn't. Can anyone debug or like dafuq.
