Well, sorry for not making the point across. But if you see recent reviews that comment on the same, going with "it's alt accounts" is kinda bs, isn't it? Maybe it's a more widespread opinion than you give it credit for and it's been creeping up as of late. And I doubt this game has that much pull on someone to use alt accounts just to spam the same review or something.
I adhere by what GentlemanFaun says. Customizing girls is good when they keep some core element that still represent them visually. When you have blank NPCs that you can do anything with, it feels more bland.
I mention again Rachel. You can customize her, but it's always her and you can tell. If clicking a few buttons transforms a petite blonde into a ginger bimbo because of fourth wall magic, you lose on the chance of making something particular with that character.
I pissed a guy off and the very next day there are 3 reviews repeating almost word for word what he said. So alt account Isn’t too out there.

but the criticism is just too out there man. It’s hard to take serious. Take out the customization and the girl still looks the same as the default. Like you literally wouldn’t notice the difference if you just never touch the customization. That’s why it’s such a confusing criticism. Again, they looked exactly the same before I added the customization.

like if I listen to you and remove it. The girls… still look the same? There is zero change in their appearance. There is no net gain of anything appearance wise. Just a loss of the ability to give them bigger boobs…also that option of a non customized girl already exists when you don’t click customize. Customization is an optional feature? It’s all just so confusing man

I don't know who you pissed, but I went to check the time that the last few guys who made a negative review joined, and it's so far apart that the alt account theory doesn't seem believable to me. Couldn't it have something to do with an update being released and having the game in the front page for a while that attracted more people to comment and rate?

Anyways, the point with customization in this regard (in my opinion) is that the classroom girls feel more like Barbies than characters, since they have no particular visual core feature about themselves and, because this game goes into action very fast and there's not much dialogue to have with most characters, more often than not it sorta feels like fucking a sex doll instead of a character.

Let me expand a bit more on this: Corruption as a genre has many ways of being executed, but generally speaking, you want to have an established female that isn't a slut, and through words or actions, turn her into a slut. The more defined this female is by her looks, dialogue and scenes, the more solid the corruption feels with them, because there're more elements that are transformed due to your influence. In turn, the less established the girl is because there's less conversation to be had, less scenes in which your influence manifests, no evolution to her looks (through moral and sexual degeneration, not just selecting her to be naked out of thin air), the less the corruption feels there. I imagine this is a relevant subject because the game leans heavily into the corruption kink with how the MC interacts with the women. So taking away what makes a certain character... a certain character, diminishes said corruption. This one is very to the point and fast paced in the sex encounters, and there are many characters through which the action is spread. So that already has a consequence on dialogues and scenes to be had.

Now, if you decide the benefits of customization outweight the downsides that I and other have mentioned, that is fine for me, too. I like the game as it currently is, despite the apparent flaws I've pointed. But I hope now you get my argument. At the end of a playthrough, which characters will be remembered? Racher, Sam and the Teacher, or any of the featurless students in the classroom that can be anything by not being anything, and are treated as a mob due to how little individuality there is to each of them?

It's more so that the criticism really doesn't make sense at it's core, I'm sorry lol but I've never went into a video game, saw an optional feature and then decided that the optional feature has ruined the game. I don't think it's a honest enough complaint to get it more than once. It Could also just be that guys friends, idk, but I don't really care, more just bringing it up because the point I'm making with that is, I don't think it's honest criticism. Plus The criticism is just so weird to me, that I have no idea how to take it into consideration. If the criticism was, I'm focusing too much on customization, and that the main game is starting to lack content, ok good criticism I can take into account. But how do you take in criticism that an optional feature, has completely destroyed the game because the simple fact you can customize your girl, somehow turns them into a barbies, even though...you don't have to customize them? Like I have no idea how to take the criticism.

Listen man, sometimes it takes more words to understand the criticism, I was just trying to understand what your criticism was exactly. It sounds like with better clarification now, the corruption is too quick, the girls are too grouped up, and because of that, combined with the customization. It takes away too much individuality. Not the customization ITSELF, but that just enhances an already existing issue. Good criticism. I can use that!

Thanks for taking the time to voice that, I really wasn't understanding the problem. I'll definitely be trying to remedy that issue for sure.

Cool man, I'm glad I managed to explain myself properly.
Now that you mention the other stuff that's being left behind a little bit in favor of the customization, do you have a general idea for when you're gonna start filling up all the WIP boxes around the game? I mean, are you already planning something for those, or are you waiting to finish what you're doing before giving those a revision?

That's kind of been the main focus. I'm simply using the customization as a way to go back to the beginning to fill in all the missing w.i.p features. Like if you look at customizable Racheal, there's a dating system (bare bones for now), a service system, a public sexual service system in place. So after that's all done, I can then add them all at once to the old non customized Racheal. I'm just doing the customization as a twofer, since it let's people try the new scenes/system without having to reset their Racheal and they also get customizations. But eventually I'm going to go back and add all the new stuff to the OG Racheal too, I just want it more completed before I do that first.

This is one of the Renpy games that just won't display ... anything ... when I run it. It just sits in the background listed in taskmanager but not showing up anywhere else. I don't even get a black screen or empty window. Not every Renpy game does this, maybe one in five on average.

It's doing the same for me. Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Buy a new graphics card? Lol.

Make sure all your drivers are up to date. Also, if you have an integrated GPU on your motherboard as well as a separate graphics card you could try plugging your monitor into the first instead of the second.

Sometimes, running it in administrator mode or under compatibility mode for older Windows seems to work, but not with this game.

Typically if you let it go long enough it'll either disappear from task manager or come up with a crash screen, but it can take a LONG time before that happens. I was having a similar issue and did the below :

Hey Dev, I don't think I can call this a "bug" per se, but I noticed that there's a ... quirk, when trying to run this game on either slower machines or slower hard drives (think older mechanical drives vs newer SSDs). Basically, Ren'Py think's there's a potential infinite loop because of a timeout that's occurring somewhere in the Images.rpyc file. The game at that point either completely hangs (and needs a Task Manager closeout), or it comes up with an Infinite Loop Error crash screen.

Easy fix, execution.py file, you just increase a setting under the "def not_infinite_loop(delay):" section :
# Give more time in non-developer mode, since computers can be crazy slow
# and the player can't do much about it.
if not renpy.config.developer:
delay *= 5

I changed it to
if not renpy.config.developer:
delay *= 30

Seemed to work.

Well, it did finally turn up after making that change. So thanks.

Me? Lack patience? Maybe. It was like half a minute, easy, though. OK, it felt like half a minute. Lemme just check with a stopwatch (app)...

It was fucking 1 minute 25 seconds. Holy crap.

Oh yeah, game definitely takes a LOOOONG time to load for me as well. Not sure why. I swear Baldur's Gate 3 loads faster than this, but then again that's on a SSD and this is on a NAS so....

To the dev:
This game has so many bugs after that customisation shit has been implemented...
Firstly this issue
1000132232.jpg
Even after playing with customisation enabled I cannot do anything with my (demo) female MC

And secondly, the main issue since implementing this Fixer shit in the game... Literally all the animations are very laggy and totally broken! Screenshot_20241112-133524.png

I cannot upload the full recording but hope you get the idea; the clothes, and faces animate very separately...
Plzz do something for that.

All those issues are just from the fact your playing on the phone man. But it's just a temporary problem anyway. Again as I've stated before, the outfit stuff, is just an optional thing. All the new scenes I've added are going to have the normal non outfit scenes like it was before, so people who do experience that problem won't have to deal with it. It won't be long until that is fixed, just a little patience is all I ask. Thanks for pointing it out though, it helps.
