imagine paying $60 per year for something that isn't even in alpha lmfao
Some people become infatuated, when they first find these games. Visually this is probably the best looking beat un up game and when they are early stages people are interested in whether it will really cover their fetish to perfection (I got hooked on MaTM at the beginning). Others are partly driven to sponsor as success brings others to the table, competition drives productivity and then some curiosity takes over, Ero does write some good updates, has some great ideas and I followed a number until I realised a lot of it was going around in circles. Then the key thing is people don't see it as paying $60 per year, they see it as $5 per month with maybe the original thought of only paying for a few months.

Then some people are trusting, don't do their research, don't manage money well and have no IT knowledge on how much effort it takes to create an animation. These are the people who buy full price game releases based on the cover looking cool.

I patroned Eromancer, though I didn't get up to $60, could have done but he said something outright mad which made me cancel. I get when Ero's patronage drops he doubles efforts to win back the numbers (basically more H animations), but there is no way any fan group can manipulate all the patrons, to have that effect on Ero. Only thing that will get his attention is decent competition.

Either way, Ero is a genius.

I honestly wish this dev would really commit to completing their games. They look remarkably well, and have a crazy amount of potential. If Malice and the Machine was basically completed or completed by now, I could honestly see myself spending $60 a year for their games. And I don't think I would be the only one. Ero could honestly blow up with the amount of potential and instant eye catching graphics you see in the demos. I would even go so far as to say, Ero could be one of the better adult-game devs around - especially in the western world.

But, unfortunately, that isn't the case. It's honestly a real shame to see so much potential be wasted. As it stands, I can't see myself spending any more money on this dev (spent $10 so far). I really hope that changes though.

To put things in simple terms, MatM was too much for eromancer to handle. They realized this and then came out with the supposedly quick side project of pure onyx. If this is the case, I will die of old age twice before MatM ever gets any attention thrown its way ever again.

I have no real interest in this game. The main character design is okay, but the rest is just not anything that makes me want to care at all about this "game".

MatM had such potential when I first discovered it years ago. It made me realize the potential of H games as a lot you find are GoR or RoR style. To see something 3D like that with the combat was A+

- I would (and not only me) be only glad if he (Eromancer) completed at least one, preferably several first levels. When he finally finishes (if he finishes) initial levels, only then it will be possible to talk about at least some kind of progress. Now it feels like "trampling in place".

Same here, I prefer would prefer if this game had a solid development plan. For example 3-4 levels with a boss, 2-3 enemies and 6-10 H animations per stage per stage. Instead Eromancer constantly gets side-tracked and works on multiple things. So just scanning through the Twitter now you have Splicer Doll, Boss/Queen Wrestler, Ghoul, Splicer Brute, Splicer Biohound and Spider Robot enemies in progress. Concept art for Malise, building new levels (caverns & labs), new moves for Onyx and a completed re-work of her idle animation. Not much talk from Ero in fleshing out the current enemies apart the wasp and slug enemies.

This just provides a distraction to game completion dates, constantly changes the game scope/size and you could argue that the model making and concept art is easier than the animation. Like you I’d rather say a Splicer first level is completed, with maybe a sewer, second Splicer level and corporate level planned.

So a rough sketch was posted on Ero Twitter account. Featuring Tifa for the supposed XXXIV animation. Typically I would be slightly happy to hear any news of those animation projects. Problem is....We already saw different sketches months ago.

Why do I have a feeling, none of the animations from the Polls will drop this year.

That's right. He himself (Eromancer) admitted that mostly can't make games, like the developer from Citor3. These guys have only ambition and absolutely no experience in developing even a good game. P.S.- I recently found out that some games (not porn/erotica) only in planning are years and years! The closest example is the Polish team The Astronauts, back in 2015 they took up the game Witchfire, but showed it, so to speak, a prototype only in 2017 at The Game Awards 2017. The guys from The Astronauts (there are only 8 of them) only plan to release the game this year in early access, it is not known when it will be released. And these are teams of really experienced people, let alone those who have never developed games in their lives.

Closest example, to what Eromancer? Now quality games do take forever to develop but often these days that is down to the graphics expectations of players. The triple A studios will have teams of 20 modellers, animators, coders etc while the smaller studios have one or two people in each area. Closest example to this I would say is Streets of Rage 4, announced 2017 and released in 2020. Though the development team of SOR4 would be double the size of Eromancer's at least, probably triple.

The biggest problem with Ero is game creep, check this out -
  • Sewer mission - "Onyx must escape the Babel forces in the most practical way possible -- jetboarding through a big honking pipe littered with debris and biomonster cleansing crews". None of those eniemes have been made yet, and there is a large backlog of NPC's to animate, add AI and then sort out H animations.
  • Sewer bossfight - Basically fighting off mob swarms, maybe with a 'laser gun', melee fights and taking cover from the big boss in the background (can only hit with the gun, though he can mash you with tentacle strikes when the spawns have been dealt with
Eromancer is still dreaming big, bigger even than the SOR4 team.

So I downloaded the latest update just to rip the music from the game files.
They ask 15$ for this, here are all the 7 tracks completely free: MEGA // // GDrive //
Could you rip it also from Malise and the machine ?
