It's very laggy now tho. Having more than a few enemies on screen causes the frame rate to drop a lot.

Im gonna say something , a very personal opinion which is i think fem cop or malise are way better than onyx and i dont find her attractive at all , i dont even like her style and about their curviness all the females in game use the same body preset . I mean he announced that malise and neon are going to appear in the game with different outfits but still nothing of them.
Well I can say from my experience. No.

It's been 6 year since I first tried out this game, and the gameplay is still the same, there are no story or anything about the characters. Still, I really like the game, since I really enjoy the artstyle of the game, and the way it's executed. On the other hand, the development of this game is slow as hell. I guess there is some truth to the Stockholm syndrome. I really hope eromancer would stop replacing a character in a scene once a month and calling it a day. ffs you can't even view these scene in the game (except for that 1 scene with femcop and vioreaper).
This game needs some very needed additions to the combat;
Streets of Rage II/III side rolling
Grabs
Reversals or special moves similar to SOR or Final Fight which consume either health or stamina.
Brutes have moves with too much priority. It is obvious you are supposed to stagger them, but it takes 3-4 heavy attacks to put them into a stagger which recover out of too fast and the priority on their moves are too quick to the point that you can get hit after landing a heavy punch and still get hit before you can block. By the time you reach the point in the cave stage where you are fighting two brutes, it becomes an exercise in frustration.
Games should reward you for better situational awareness and playing, not punish you for using mechanics and still get hit.
For five years, this was okay and the dodge helped in mitigating unavoidable situations, but this is very bad for a game in development for this long and this many enemy variety. If the slide had not beed added, this game would have been utterly unbearable with the old stomp.
It is time the developer takes a look back at the combat system as there is as much potential in this as the art.

Game went from running at capped 144 fps to low inconsistent 40s in the span of 2 updates lmao
edit: make that around 20 fps when there is a full wave on screen
This is with a 3080 too, basically impossible to win even with godmode on since the low fps gets you stunlocked at all times.

I completely agree on the need for Onyx to have additional combat moves. Grabs in particular are especially useful when it comes to crowd control or isolating a strong enemy. Adopting a grab mechanic like the Streets of Rage games would be a good template.
Defensive and offensive special moves at the expense of health is a classic side scrolling beat-em-up troupe. It wouldn't be a side scrolling beat-em-up without it. Including specials moves would be a blessing as relying on dodging does get old. An idea for a defensive special would be a spinning splits kick from the ground (inspired by Skate from Streets of rage 2/3); as it would cover the "fanservice" of having Onyx's spreading her legs and kicking what's around her. As for reversals, currently Onyx only has a block. I would include a parry like in Street Fighter 3 or a counter move like in Tekken. It would mean team Eromancer would have to create alot more sprites and animations.
Side rolling or rolling up and down the screen was only found in Streets of Rage 3. Something like a short jump or a quick step up and down the vertical axis of a stage would be a good for evasive movement.
Currently, it's a waste not having an attack move whilst Onyx is running, apart from jumping kick. A shoulder tackle or a lariat are some ideas for Onyx to use.
I do have other ideas, whether its attacks or voice over but I'll reserve those for another time. What is key with these ideas is finding a balance between Onyx feeling powerful with new attacks and vulnerable where mistakes will lead to her being sexually taken.

Seriously, Eromancer dindu shit for 5 years now when it comes to improving the gameplay loop and mechanics. There's literally zero reason to even consider the possibility it will change in the next 5 years.
I mean, exactly the same stuff was said 4...then 3...2...a year ago. Nothing changed in that aspect. Not one thing was addressed.
Hell, it's not even a year since the super basic drama with bestiality content and Patreon starting to enforce its own rules...which was bound to happen ever since alien bugs was first hinted. The absolute state of this game development xD

This game never provide update-only files? Although 2GB is not big, but after every update, download the whole game is frustrating, especially updated content is barely nothing

Hahaha, good point but...
The size of each update would be around 10-50mb, give or take. And that would be embarassing sight to see because there's a name for it - hotfix.
Every 3-4 months we would get "proper" update of around 300-500mb with "new" animations (as in yet another model switch for the existing stuff).
