Summary for you:

1.) Back in winter, we had a "totally not-unexpected" censorship drama with Patreon. According to Eromancer, Patreon "just now" decided to look at the project making multiple Ks of $ and be pissy about it containing "non-consensual sex". Not like it never happened before with countless other patreon projects containing bestiality, rape, mind-control (including hypnosis and extensive usage of strong aphrodisiacs/drugs)...anyway, Eromancer decided to rework the existing animations...by remaking the grabbing sequence so it looks like Onyx is mentally retarded slut from the worst 80s porno...and he still can't finish doing it, so for half of the existing animations (that's not a lot :D) he put a placeholder with Onyx holding a sign like a street bum.

2.) Eromancer wants to move to different platform for funding to avoid Patreon restrictions...so he made the alternative support page elsewhere, still keeping Patreon up, sucking up funds from two sources now(!) and still adhering to the Patreon rules he wanted to escape from.

3.) We have a new animation this month (flying wasp at long last! years after this enemy was released!) and it's literally making a whore out of logic behind patreon censorship (bestiality and rape AND mind-altering poison). Stay tuned for more drama when they decide that insects are actually animals that are non-sentient in general.

But if they leave patreon to keep the content patreon doesn't like, then all the people who've forgotten about or don't pay much attention to the patreon won't resubscribe at their new location.

I'm just unwatching this game at this point. Once a dev pulls this sort of bullshit with no improvement then I'm out.

drama or not, the sudden transitions of going through a """combo""" and suddenly having to violate your arrow keys cause someone hit you with an attack from the other side of the stage is genuinely one of the most painful experiences i have had beat 'em up wise

may as well just make it an accessible gallery at this rate cause the gameplay sure as shit sucks more dick than the MC does

soundtrack is a bop though, there's that at least

With that said, and maybe it really just is my niche, but god damn I wish there were more of this content out there. As much as the general consensus is that this is another cash grab - you can't argue that this shit isn't of objective quality compared to what normally rolls through our feeds.

I dunno man, I've been in the scene now for 3 years, and was kind of hoping to see more titles of this caliber (aesthetically speaking, the game itself is Newgrounds tier) come to fruition. On that note, totally serious here, I unironically play the lottery in hopes that I can bank roll my own hentai studio(s). You have my word, I win that shit? I'm taking what Breeding Season could have been to a whole new fucking level.

The new animation is not making a whore out of logic. It's just that Eromancer started to work on this animation 8 months ago, so there is a delay to take into account.

Well, patreon has rules against rape and bestiality (not sure about an explicit rule against mind control). The animation is the bug having injected her with some kind of aphrodisiac venom, then having sex with her. The sex is really obviously bestiality (against patreon rules outright), and using a drug to convince someone to have sex with you is defined as rape under basically every legal system, since someone whose mind has been altered cannot give consent.

So the logic that patreon will be ok with this animation really doesn't hold up, since it's "willing" in that Onyx isn't resisting is fooling at best, and the bestiality thing isn't even shifted (though some might argue "it's not a real animal so it doesn't count").

Dev has always been very open to those kind of scenes.

Malise and the Machine featured the same kind of scene with flying insect and they even had scenes with aliens eggs/pods fucking MC with tentacles while drowning her in semen.

Unless they have serious problems with this kind of content, they won't stop. There is already larva/worms in this game and they already teased a dog enemy and a spider nest map stage.

Above is from someone else's patreon that had the same issue...back in 2017...remind me what was the project's status in 2017? :D

The project is doomed to fail on Patreon because it is not following the guidelines with that one enemy and it's nothing new!

No, you won't be able to claim that the alien wasp is sentient as of now (or by giving it a speech bubble) because that would be the same as claiming that loli witch is legal because she said she is 1000 years old xD... I'm not giving you any ideas here guys, just saying what could happen if someone were to take a look at it from Patreon staff ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

My goal here is to give you an idea on how this will create a drama within a next few weeks/months...and even more reworking/removals instead of actual work.

I think nobody understood my joke.

I was just making the point that considering how much time Eromancer take to release a single animation, then it must take also a long time for him to actually start applying new rules from Patreon.
