Would it be illegal to get some modders to make some kind of story and change some stuff, for example add some clothes or change hair etc. Mainly im asking this cause the game has some mad potential.
Depends if there's a clause stating that editing it is illegal, usually it's only illegal to mod something for profit as you're selling someone elses content.

Though if someone were to make huge strides in content it'd prove they're just intentionally being slow so they'd prob try to get it taken down.

But in general, non-profit mods can't really get banned unless it uses proprietary assets or if there's a strict clause of no editing that you've agreed to.

You can clearly see there is love in making this game. its something out of nowhere just beacause.
Calling this a trash,is something else.
The game is not a trash, even in the current, it is playable, and the visuals are amazing. Doing all that with low manpower, is impressive to get that far.
Its ambitious? damn it is. I might be one of the few who is more hyped this gets complete.
Nobody is complaining about the quality, the issue is that they're being paid on a subscription basis and are being extraordinary slow.

Being supportive of devs is great but you shouldn't enable subscription milking like this because that's exploitative of supporters and also incentivizes the devs to put in less work.

Working slower = longer development = more money for devs.

People need be quicker to stop supporting devs when they're being unreasonably slow otherwise they'll never put in any work, and it's not unreasonable to hold them to a standard when you're paying them either.

Ironically enough this "supportive" attitude towards the devs is more harmful to the game's development than the people expressing their dissatisfaction

I know it's not a competition for games in development hell (or likely grifting). But there's who's been working on an RPGMaker game for like 6 fucking years! (Yes, they also have comments off).

This game looks really good but 8 years development!? Is this like a life time project for this dev? Anywhere near completion?
I would make it my life time project and stretch it out as long as possible too if I were getting the subscriptions he was. This is the problem with this method of funding - they have 0 incentive to actually finish anything, yet still get lots of money.
