Gave this game a shot yesterday and it's sad to realize its been in development for so long. It looks good, it runs good, the scenes are fun but the combat/controls are more than a little clunky and this seems like something that could have been put together in a matter of months.
So many people have said it but the model that's used for games like this - monthly subs - really don't incentivize anyone to actually finish something unless they WANT to and it seems like it happens more with the really cool, new ideas and new gameplay - look at MGI for another example - though at least this dev is still doing stuff it seems.
I'll probably sink a couple hours into it, grab a full save and call it good. Lots of potential and I'd love to see it finished. Honestly if the dev could tighten up the controls, make it feel more like a classic side scrolling beat-em-up I'd be happy as it is, its very slow, getting to where you want to on the screen is difficult and it doesn't feel like there's any flow to combat. Fix that and that the whole game not being complete would be fine, that would still be a lot of fun I think. So far I just find it mostly frustrating.
Play pretty much any ninja turtles arcade game and then this and you can tell how different and less smooth this is. Really the dev should go play a bunch of side scrolling beat em up games, find the ones that feel good, look good, play well, have good menus and interactions and then just... Do that. Don't need to reinvent the wheel, which is what a LOT of adult games feel like. They're either yet another VN of some varying quality or they're something like this, an amazing idea that feels like the person(s) working on them decided they needed to completely reinvent and entire game genre and get stuck in development for ever.
I'd wish people who make these kinds of games, Adult games in general, would focus on completing a game and then going to the next project like non adult games do.
