Eromancer never really planned to move to Subscribestar, but wasn't 100% sure his plan wouldn't backfire, so he made XXXIV as an "insurance" card he would play in case things got out of hand.
But, of course, his efforts to minimize Subscribestar migration were successful, so he quickly abandoned XXXIV...
... I mean he froze XXXIV, just like MatM.
And it will remain frozen for as long as Subscribestar doesn't reach his ludicrous goal of $13,666K. Which, at the current rate, won't happen in at least 10 more years.

probably, u can to found another games there and some are already in steam and other announced but eromancer look not interested in reach to final state, this have extreme many time in dev then u can to notice he is only collecting money releasing little updates for keep the atention but well, u can check the forum each 2 or 3 month for news.
well..the update maybe twice a month but quality is good so...take your time and come back next year

We all love the idea of the game, yet its the gameplay itself that undercooked. I would have thought someone would have refined the game engine to play like Streets of rage 4 or even Mayhem brawlers. You cannot run and kick or run and punch for example. Gameplay wise street of rage 2 and final fight are more polished, which is a shame for pure onyx as i had such high hopes for it.

I've been playing H games since 2017, starting from the game made by Krooonsoft, and I think the best animation is Grimhelm - Alien Quest Eve, and Night of Revenge, they are very good in terms of gameplay and animation, I think the interesting game is over, why did I just realized this Pure Onyx game now? if you look, Pure onyx has been around since 2018? meaning is this game still in the process of development? or just stop?
Best Gameplay/Animation H-games IMHO are Vosmug's (Xenotake, Ghost Hunter Vena). Too bad he's a one-man-army and his games have a very slow development. But there are many other great H-games out there, it depends on what you're looking for.
It's still in development, but at such a slow rate that you can check it twice a year and barely notice the new stuff.

After having seen more H-games out there, I’m even more disappointed that this is taking so long since the quality seems to be higher than the games I’ve seen. Are there games out there on this level of quality/detail?

Define quality/detail? There are dozens of similar h-games with even more polish and fuckton more of content.
If you mean graphic quality and style though, try Wild Life by AdeptusSteve. It is one of the few 3d indie h-games that actually have something done over the years. You can see a little on Steam:

I mean, they embraced the fact that IT IS a porn game first and an RPG second (unlike Eromancer that is still trying to do both things at once, failing both at once). Just don't expect enormous gameplay section (they are still building the world for you to interact with) but customization and porn aspects are top-notch.
While there was a time when I was concerned if it's not yet another Patreon scam (with rework being done), they surprised me and deserve some dosh being thrown their way.
Alllssooo...hell, I'll go to hell for mentioning it...there are Illusion games. Too many to name them, with a lot of different "flavours" (in older titles you were literally playing a rapist in japanese subway). Newer ones are mostly posers and sex scene setups (especially Honey Select 1&2 and AI Shoujo). Koikatsu and Artificial Academy were more...engaging..with you playing an anime school life simulator with hentai twists. Fun times.
