EDIT: Maybe it's just me, but it feels like people weren't nearly as bad in the past and I think twitter is to blame. Those drive by snark-replies to put strangers down and get a dopamine rush by other strangers liking your comment seems to have had a really shitty impact on people. That kinda behaviour couldn't have existed before the internet.

Curiosity got the best of me and I downloaded this for the first time. Lol. I remember Malise and the Machine thread. People bitching about milking when I joined this forum for the first time 3 years ago. Soon after that, they put it on hold because they wanted to develop "new tech" for it or something. Then they announced Pure Oynx as a small side project while they get their new tech ready for MatM. 3 years later, all the while making 10k+ a month. What do we have? 4 sex animations, rudimentary side scroller gameplay, 2 "maps" if you can call it that, like 3-4 enemy types. The animations and graphics are nice, yeah, but this is a real joke.

That's a very different thing, actually.
With heckling there is always an implied physical confrontation and you aren't immediately out of the situation. You don't get your ass kicked over twitter.
The effects are also completely different, because it lacks the global audience and positive feedback. I think you're looking at it too simply.
You won't get random strangers patting you on the back for several days after being a dick to some other stranger because you heckled him either.

Son of a bitch! again with this latest build no option added to adjust the camera in h-scenes i'm so sick of having half the action cut-off in wraxe lift scene just ruins the best scene imo
You'd be surprised how many games with that kind of content still use Patreon. You just have to be careful about it; Patreon themselves don't appear to go out of their way to sniff them out, and most of the early waves of prudes have lost interest in favor of the next moral outrage du jour, so pretty much anyone left who still cares are the ones who do NOT want to rock the boat and make games lose Patreon financing.

The 63 pages of this forum date earlier than the switch to 3d. The dev simply leeches as much as he absolutely can before doing anything.

yeah wouldn't give money to this dev. If they finish a product cool but they move at such a snails pace and have broken so many promises. At face value it seems like they're taking this more seriously than they did their last project but I still don't trust them.

I've said before that I would love consistent updates for this and it looks like that may be happening... BUT it will take a bit more to convince me considering the Chain Splicer model has been claimed to have been done for months (years?) in this thread.
I'm a little hopeful though because it's possible the decision to hire Gifdoozer for some animation work may have caused a little 3rd party pressure for Eromancer to make the damn game. But that's just a theory... A gAmE tHeOrY!!! kill me
