Methinks this thread protest too much, like with every patreon or funding model you can support exactly as much as you want. I bought an official download off itch earlier this year, and have dl'ed a couple updates from links in this forum, maybe next year I'll drop some more cash if I like how it's updating. If places like this, where you can get thousands of developer's content for free didn't exist MAYBE you could complain about how this one is funded. Otherwise make your own damn game, ask for no money until it's a polished AAA title, and see how it is for yourselves.

You are the exact type of gullible person this scam is targeting. "Please let there be an animation in the next update!" says the fool after paying 5-10 dollars for an update that adds nothing. Next thing you know, six months later you have two animation updates and 4 months worth of excuses. This scam has more of a chance of being a polished turd than it does a polished AAA title. After at least 8 years of "development" there is a level one might expect if there were an actual game to be found anywhere near this scam. I think the public has earned the right to criticize after 8+ years.

I see individuals and teams of a similar size push titles out in around 6-9 months, and then I see this perpetual scam drag the bar into the mud. No one should support nonsense like this when there are so many other developers that deserve the money from actual finished games. Honestly the only way this dev gets anything done is when the proverbial rug is pulled and they have to show progress to cater toward a new fanbase. Pretty much what happened when patreon kicked them out and they migrated their scam to whatever other platforms they are polluting with their presence now.

Meanwhile actual competent devs barely make a buck, how fun.

Ya even i am starting to loose faith in these devs and I have been a fan since the original version but each time they update they charge another 10$ and all we get is a 1 new mediocre animation even the new outfit doesn't get taken off during scenes so onyx is getting it while still wearing her purple leotard smh if it wasn't for the heroes in this chat dropping links I would have been suckered into paying 60$ by now for a game that isn't even polished enough to have a free cam mode or to remove the new outfits during the gallery scenes and with subpar sound design even if they finally finish the game it shouldn't cost more then 20$ maybe 30$ as an adult indi game instead this is starting to feel like a cash grab

This one figured it out. Now we just need everyone else to grow a brain and realize this is little more than a scam being perpetuated upon the masses.
