Just got done playing both parts and gotta say the off and on fling between him and his brothers fiancee sucks and needs to be nipped in the bud already. The whole shtick of lets fuck then regret is getting rather annoying at this point.

I think that what he means is that they already went past the back-and-forth phase in the first game.
They did everything imaginable in the first game, so in part 2 the relationship between them should be much more straightforward.

No, it is not the dev's fault you used some unofficial rando's patch, that also changed the dev's story. There is no landlady roommate shit in the first game either.
