Who cares?? The game is a 2-character game, and the brother only exists as a plot device for the dumb kid to be quarantined wtih the hot older woman at the start. There is <0 need to tell any part of the off-screen brother's story. What we know (he doesn't care about his wife as much as he should) is already enough to tell the story as it was told. Personally I'm more interested in what happened to a couple of the trees outside the lab that may have been damaged by fire.
