Tbh, with this dev's track record, I won't be surprised if this time next year he's talking about rewriting 60% of the script. At least he finished the goddamn story

I write with him sometimes, he ´s very gentle and polite and also gives answers to questions. The main story is complete and there is a playable patreon version but no game to buy on stores yet, as some side events/quests are not finished yet. I don ´t have the chance to play it, so I can ´t give better answers at that.Does Frost release playable content on Patreon? If so has anyone played it and seen the progress of this game? I think last I've heard supposedly the main questline is finished and some of the side quests still need to be completed, the dev confuses me though. I don't know much about game development but even working solo, the last game was released in 2016 I believe. The dev has always been forthcoming with comments and questions, has always been very polite, but even in that case 8 years seems like a long time to develop a game, the first one was good as well as the demos, so obviously they know how to develop games for Ren'py already...
That's good to hear, he seems like a nice guy so I don't want to doubt him, but you never know, lots of devs take the patreon bag and run off. As long as we know he's committed to finishing this then I personally don't mind the waiting.I write with him sometimes, he ´s very gentle and polite and also gives answers to questions. But I asked him lately if it is possible to see all the events and stories in one playthrough and he denied, as some choices may block some other events, so there is much to adventure in a very big game and probably need to play it more than one time to see everything. The dev is very ambitious and tends to perfection, as it will probably become an excelent game, much bigger then the first one, it also takes (too much) time in development he ´s aware of but it can ´t be helped, on the other hand ppl will always enjoy a good game more than a bad one filled with bugs etc. I guess, so we need to wait.
actually yeah, the only thing that makes me keep defending Quest Failed's development and keep hope is how nice Frostworks is and how often he engages with the community on the discord server, little by little making the announcements of the development of the games. Also it's kinda cool that Frost doesn't seem to make promises on "it will be finished by this point" or "i will incorporate this new mechanic"... he has a plan and has been working, just that he massively underestimated the time it took (that's on him and a negative, but ultimately it is a mistake, not a malicious intent)... not to mention he has mentioned he has plans for stuff after chapter 2 so he does want to continue working on games and projects, not just sit on the money. That's good to hear, he seems like a nice guy so I don't want to doubt him, but you never know, lots of devs take the patreon bag and run off. with under 1k a month thats unlikely.i'll also verify his personality (i use something similar frequently for cs and other things.) since i've been in his discord hes quite active in, leading to my personal increasing skepticism of him. frost has fully embraced the game to it's very core, failing the quest to release ch 2 in a timely manor. at this point i'd expect star citizen getting out of alpha before quest failed does. That's good to hear, he seems like a nice guy so I don't want to doubt him, but you never know, lots of devs take the patreon bag and run off.
