None as of today, Oct 5th. The last post was Aug 30th, and that was the poll asking if people had played the dreamworld. I don't know if anyone on here is still supporting. I personally stopped supporting last month.
You were the only one here relaying info actively and helping people out. I'm surprised you lasted this long to be honest. Mad respect to you.

Honestly, the entire situation with the game had gotten out of hand back in 2020, and I'm surprised that more people haven't jumped ship as of yet. I did notice more patrons start to verbally berate or question the dev in the comments section on Patreon, so hopefully either more people back out or the dev finally gets their shit together.

I was okay with contributing a bit of money each month so long as there was an indication that stuff was being worked on. When Covid started, it was still fine for me because with everything closed down I really didn't have anything to spend money on at that point, and again, there was still some hope because there were some updates and communications. At this point, the possible endings for this project are:

a) the dev isn't going to deliver on a new build and we get the perpetual variations of excuses;
b) the dev disappears completely (wouldn't be the first time someone's walked away from a project with no indication); or
c) at some point with no heads up, the dev will just provide the new build.

I'd hope for the latter option, but when it's been under a status of "just a month" since the beginning of 2020, it's certainly concerning.

That being said, I'd have kept supporting the dev if they:

i) Actually had regular communications with their patrons;
ii) Released some builds showing their progress, even for minor things like new mechanics or combat builds, which they did during previous version updates such as the previous dungeons, the dreamworld, the zombie event, and the gardening additions; and
iii) Were honest with how badly they've fucked up their development cycle and process. More than likely, they've reached a point where their code is spaghetti, and they either lack the know-how to fix it, are too stubborn to get help, or just think they can do it, which is leading to a continuous development cycle of "Oh no, I've got to fix the bugs".

Notably, in the past 4 months or so, there were several Patrons who were asking the dev if they needed assistance with the game to help with bug testing, like releasing a current-status build and then starting to hunt for bugs. The dev never directly responded to them, but other Patrons did, saying things like "oh, let the dev work, that way it'll be bug free." Of course, that's not going to happen. There's only so many bugs the dev can fix by themself, let alone find them in the first place. Even if the dev spends well into 2022 working on the game, the first build that comes out is going to have problems.

But goddamn, at this point I'd like the dev to prove me wrong.

i stopped supporting about a year ago, after like 7 or 8 months of no releases. in retrospect, i wish i had stopped earlier. it will take one heck of a release to get me back on board.

It's a shame, this game has certainly come quite a long way from it's beginnings, and from what I played it showed a lot of promise. I hope the dev can pick it back up soon.

Is this dead?
Possibly. There hasn't been a build for 2 years and the dev has gone quiet for long periods of time before. The dev used to do monthly updates but they've gone quiet for the past month.
Unless there's a discord or something, I wouldn't hold out for any hope for another release. Not sure why people still support the dev.

why didn't mark this as abandon?
The project isn't abandoned per se, since the developer is still giving signs of life every 3-4 months. Progress is just extremely slow since the last build due to his alleged health issues and him entirely rebuilding the code.

The dev just underestimated the amount of skill and work needed to put into a game like this, my guess. This game already started as a mess and chaotic mixture of ideas and good animations. I think he has talent, but he rushed everything and wound up either broke or mentally spent.
All pointers led to this, sadly.

Hmm, let's do some maths. According to the given statistics, there is roughly 12.5% work left to be done. It has been 25 months since the last update R-Life recieved. (It was a small christmas update that did next to nothing, you remember.) And it took him this long, you know, more than 2 years, to finish 87.5% of the part of that "ever soon to be coming" next update. Assuming he keeps the pace, there is no doubt in my mind why he'd not, the next update will be ready to dish out in the next 107 days. Rounded down.

I heard rumors he was fixing other stuff aswell.

So there is 12.5% of the new content to be done.

The source of these rumours is one user in the discord channel who knows so much about the game development situation I wonder if he is not an alt from the dev himself:

The dev just had to backtrack on a lot of code because he matured as a designer and clean it up.

A lot of it is him redoing code to support future features

He's rebuilding his code so he can actually update more than once a year, which requires nearly all of the game's code to be reorganized and redone. It's taking forever, yes. But the upshot is once he's done this he can add content and update the game far easier and faster than in the past. He's sticking his nose into the code and not coming out pretty much; just trying to grind through it.

So, end of august was supposed to be it, but he ran into issues optomizing all the new code/systems he had to integrate. He's not really saying much at this point except for working really hard at end of the month update.

On his patreon page the game is 69% completed
Yesterday it was 68%

I think hes going to finish the game in max 1-2 months.
Hope he updated the geometry ( Geometry is used throughout video game design in controlling how the player's view of the game through isometric graphics, how the terrain is designed and textured through the use of polygons, and how the character moves through the game through the use of arcs and angles. ),mechanics, graphics and animations.
A character costumization setting would be nice also he should rewrite the whole story.
Its been 2 years since the last update. I expect a lot from the creator.
Imagine getting the same game with the same graphics,animations..etc with the same shitty story and quests with no sense.
I mean
8.5fix its a joke.
