Not every relationship has to be about starting at the beginning and forming a bond. In this case it's about the MC's lack of emotional availability and directing his own emotions and feelings whilst dealing with various other relationship priorities.

Good first post, and I agree. Good way to sum up the MC in this VN.

Also, I'm not really much a fan of Allison, but I do think the Allison situation poses an uncommon scenario as far as existing LI relationship tropes. If there is an ex-girlfriend or ex-wife situation in a VN, it seems like it's usually posed in a way where the ex-wife was the cause of the rift and she's trying to get the MC back... or maybe it was a mutual decision. It's rare where it's posed in a way where the MC was the one who fucked up and the LI has a legit reason to be pissed... It makes it so that it's incumbent on the MC make an effort to mend the relationship and/or rekindle the romance.

That's an interesting starting point that seems kind of underutilized in a lot of VNs and part of what makes this one stand out. Probably why Allison has so many fans despite way way hotter LIs :coffee::whistle:

To add on to your post I agree with all but the hotter LI there is only one that is hotter for me :) But anyways other than what you said I also would like to add on I like how unique Allison feels compared to other LI. Because it's rare to find a LI that you have to repair a broken relationship to even make her a LI and I really like that part of her character. It's probably my favorite thing about what makes her unique.

Veronica gets way too much hate ITT. If you look at the other LIs, she is clearly the best match for the MC. Alexa and Jasmine are his students, Natalya is a probable spy/secret agent, Maggie has too much baggage, and his relationship with Allison was on the rocks even before he cheated on her. Veronica's only issue is... she's a bit clingy?

My issue isn't just how clingy Veronica is but the fact the she bugs the MC again about being serious in relationship maybe a week after his daughters accident. To me that shows she just doesn't care about the MC needing time, after something tragic like that happens no one would be thinking about their relationship, I know I wouldn't. That's the moment I wrote her off and said veronica can fuck off for all I care. To me that comes across as someone that is very selfish and doesnt care about the MC , his family or well being

I also feel the hate for Veronica is unwarranted. And that she does care for the MC. Since she never met the daughter, I am also ok with her not showing excessive concern. It would come out as fake if she was "down" for someone who is basically a stranger.
That out of the way, she is not a bad LI, but a bit too pushy for my liking. Feels like the type who would take control of the relationship.

after go to Maggie or Natalya, dont know at the moment
V is kind, but not my type and clearly say the MC, they start hook up from 6 months, but said, there is no serius relationship, so just duck buddys in my opinion...
