Judging by the fact that her name is “Natalya”, it is quite possible that she is from Russia, or someone close to her is from Russia... I don’t remember that the Germans had the name Natalya... there are many of them in Russia. and she herself looks like the Slavs in appearance...
although I wouldn’t be surprised by all this, her name and her stories themselves will turn out to be fake, because agents do that

It's not exactly the most common girl's name in Germany, but there are a few. Mostly daughters of so called Russian-Germans who fled to Germany in the 1990s after the collapse of the Soviet Union. I'd say that every German has met a few Nataschas in their life. For a while, it was also a popular " alias" among hookers.

The Russians must want the battery technology. Maybe the government is watching the MC and know about his research, so they sent Natalya to get it. Because it's too much of a coincidence that she shows up as Cooper's neighboor out of the blue and tells him she wants to meet his physics professor friend.
