My dudes, all this "coulda, shoulda, woulda" stuff is just a simple hypothetical we use to discuss stuff like this, stuff we talk about
from the pov of the observer, not the person involved in said situation, but just bcz what I said sounds very bad to a few fragile ears here, it doesn't mean it's not something that happens IRL a lot and the main reason why long term relationships and marriages like MC and Allison's fail.
I never once said what the MC did was ok, nor did I defend his behavior and say Allison should've just sucked it up, taken him back and went down on him to 'clean up' the
evidence of his casual fun the next sec he popped through her door, but if you take a look at those sweet stats I keep mentioning, most marriages like theirs
always end up in divorce due to a few reasons we could argue are valid or not, out of which cheating, jealousy, exaggerated possessiveness, lack of a sex life and lack of respect are the most common ones.
MC and Allison are 30yo, smart, attractive ppl, not 60+ old farts, ffs. They're bound to have options, the fact that she herself admits their marriage was doomed to fail and barely did anything about it should be enough proof to tell you how many fucks she really gave about the inevitable outcome.
I remember Mavi asking some of you a few pages back how long you'd be able to resist the urge to have sex if your Gfs/wives gave you the same treatment Allison did the MC. Walking away from a marriage just to get one's dick wet is simply an absurd argument for all kinds of reasons to which I can only say this, sure, it sounds like the right thing to do in theory, but how often do you see it put in practice ?? Almost never, and I'll let you think about why both men and women don't do this instead of resorting to cheating.
I suspect y'all also forget the lil detail that
Jake only cheated on Allison once after a lot of neglecting, various arguments, sometimes the most ridiculous ones you could think of, and after she started prioritizing her career over their marriage, things he confronted her about and to which she didn't really have a valid rebuttal to... he didn't cheat for the lolz and giggles, nor the next second, day, or week she didn't want to give him some sweet TLC... nah, he did it after
a few years. So, wrong or not, the story clearly states Allison pushed Jake toward cheating through her actions and treatment of him AND she has a big part of the blame in the divorce, she also holds a grudge toward him for

... bitch ain't exactly the most reasonable, mature adult in the story, but
the only reason she stayed loyal to Jake is bcz the devs would've gotten a lot of backlash if she got payback or "cucked" him too. IRL, a spiteful, attractive bitch like her will cheat the next sec she found out about it with the next guy(s) she's attracted to.
You can argue how wrong it is all you want, but the fact of the matter is, this is exactly what's gonna happen IRL in at least 8/10 cases in which one of the two partners has options to go to and goes through the exact same shit the MC did, whereas in almost no cases the person
with options (!!) receiving this kinda treatment would stay a good lil girl/boy like Allison does for the 'plot'. Reality and real ppl don't work like that, ffs. It's ridiculous to even make a claim like this, unless y'all tell me a porn game's story is more accurate than actual stats and events are lol, which at this point, wouldn't surprise me at all, just like it wouldn't surprise me if we found out V's bipolar in the next update(s).
