There actually is an old film with very similar plot elements to that btw. It's not a new concept. Hitchcock was quite the master of it in his earlier and later stuff, as were many noir directors back in the day (even Orson Welles did a couple).

Nah i think thats the end of the route of the bad path, there is no getting over left. Her burning their wedding picture finally after all this time was symbolic for a final end on that route.
Like the player really had to behave like the worst possible asshole to get allie to get over jake despite everything he already did before the game started lol
